A Defining Moment In Gaming

I was a little hesitant when the newest God of War was announced a couple of years ago. I enjoyed the series but between God of War III and God of War Ascension, I felt the games had become stale.
God of War (2018) proves that a classic can be reinvented and deliver!
I won't spoil the game with plots points but I will say that the Nordic mythology backdrop is breathtaking! I played this on my PS4 Pro and I was constantly in awe of my surroundings. As I progressed, I was anxious about what was in store for me with the story that I was fully into.
Do you need to have played the previous games to fully enjoy this God of War? No, but if you have played the previous games then there's a fuller understanding of the head nods/easter eggs.
There's a lot to do in the game with side missions and collectibles which brought my initial playthrough around 40 hours.
If you like good looking games, solid combat mechanics, and pure fun then this God of War is meant for you.

I hadn't played a Wolfenstein game since the original Xbox version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein back in 2003.
This game is FUN! A lot of fun. It's refreshing to see a game that focuses on single player experience instead of lightly making a single player campaign and putting more of the focus on multiplayer. The themes in Wolfenstein II are dark but there is fun to be had as the story unfolds. The visuals are brilliant! The downside of the game would have to be the controls since this FPS doesn't feel exact when aiming compared to the other shooters that I play. I had to kick up the sensitivity a lot to find a happy compromise.
My other complaint would be that the game has an odd way of having the player pick up ammo or health refills. Sometimes the game picks up them automatically and other times I am required to pick it up myself with the press of the Square button. This is frustrating when you're in the middle of a fight with enemies surrounding you.
Overall, I'd say that this game is required gaming. Seeing the premise of an alternate reality where we lost World War II is intriguing while the game delivers a tongue in cheek tone at times.

I was hesitant to willingly get excited about Destiny 2. I was impressed with the beta but that was merely a taste. I remember anticipating the original Destiny game in 2014. I played it non-stop for the first six months. I felt conflicted regarding as to whether or not Bungie had delivered the game they had promised. Would the final product deliver?
I am happy to say that it did.
Let me quickly mention that you do not have played the original Destiny in order to understand this sequel. New players are quickly brought up to date in the beginning.
Destiny 2 improves on everything. A cohesive plot with improved visuals, a fantastic soundtrack, and a far better reward loot system.
The game isn't perfect but I wasn't expecting perfection in an online-only MMO.
After you finish the campaign, you will find that there's plenty to do with side quests and side adventures that will further the grind of leveling up your character.
The multiplayer (PvP) has been improved as well. I thought it would be a mistake to lower the player count from 6v6 to 4v4 but I was wrong and find myself enjoying the competitive play more because, with smaller teams, we have to REALLY work together to win.
It seems that Bungie is really trying this time around in putting out new content to keep players coming back week after week. I enjoy traversing planets and taking in the gorgeous landscapes or seeing how deep the caverns go on certain planets.

Logan is the way most comic book movies with adult themed characters should be done. Dark and gritty in this case.
This plot is loosely based on the Old Man Logan series but here the movie takes a different approach and in my opinion, makes it better.
Of course, I am not going to spoil anything but I will say that Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart deserve Oscar nominations for their performances. The feels in this movie are real and leave their mark after the final scene.
The bonus of this Blu Ray/4k edition is that we get the Noir version which at first I had minimum expectations but upon watching it, I felt like I was getting a new movie again.
Don't pass up this remarkable film.

I got into the WipeOut series back in 2005 with the Playstation Portable system (PSP) and I fell in love with it.
In 2011, WipeOut was brought to the PS3 as a collections of sorts and it was amazing to play on the big screen despite me playing most of the maps on the PSP in the last two installments. I never got to play the WipeOut game that was on Playstation Vita but WipeOut Omega allows me to play that installment along with the PSP versions in a remarkable overhaul of graphics.
The races are fast and hectic. There is grinding involved in order to unlock better ships that handle better on certain tracks. You will feel your pulse quicken as you take fine turns or are suddenly racing upside down. The sound effects are fantastic as usual. My only complaint is the soundtrack because it's missing a lot of music that was in the WipeOut of 2011. This is probably due to music rights.
