The Assassin's Creed series was certainly getting stale with the yearly releases Thankfully, Ubisoft saw this and waited an extra year to release Origins, which is certainly a breathe of fresh air, as it plays a little differently than the usual AC faire. An almost Dark Souls-like combat and a fantastic open world makes for one of the better entries in the franchise.

The Crash series was one of my favorites back on the original Playstation, to the point that I got 100% on all three of the platformers. So, I was delighted whenever Vicarious Visions announced they were remaking/remastering (it kind of teeters between the two) and giddy with joy when I first saw gameplay of them.
The biggest improvement is that the games were built from the ground up, using Naughty Dog's blueprints and they look marvelous. Granted, they don't look quite as good as something like the recent Ratchet & Clank, but VV did a fantastic job with the graphics. The gameplay is almost identical, although it might take a little while to get used to controlling Crash in the first game, since his jumping is slightly different. Other things VV added is the ability to play as Crash's sister, Coco, in all three games, as well as the time trials from the later games into the first one.
Avenge evil alongside the Phantom Thieves of Hearts in Persona 5 "Take Your Heart" edition. This enthralling RPG combines exciting battles with vibrant graphics to create a captivating gaming experience. With a collectible school bag, steelbook case and soundtrack CD, Persona 5 "Take Your Heart" edition prepare you for the battles to come.
Persona 5 is one of the best sequels in a game series that has been released. The game is amazingly stylish, to the point that even the in-game menus look phenomenal. The use of the SMT series demon negotiation in this entry adds a deeper experience to the One More-weakness battle system. Despite the name change, Confidants are still Social Links, but having every single Confidant have abilities that you can learn makes it important to get them all. If you're looking to get a good bang for your buck, as well as an amazing JRPG, look no further than Persona 5.
Battle the mysterious Oni in Toukiden 2. A huge open world awaits you to explore, yet a powerful storyline compels you to find out more about your hidden past as you seek to discover who you really are. A professor, a void and a new, exciting world await in Toukiden 2.
Toukiden 2 is a great sequel and improvement over the original Toukiden. The addition of the Demon Hand allows for more mobility and options during battles, and the two new weapon types are also fantastic. One of the biggest pluses of this game is the fact that it's more open than the other, which had a single hub and used a mission-based structure. Toukiden 2 offers an open world, of sorts, with interconnected open areas that you can run through while fighting Oni. The game is still a bit of a grind, though, as you will need to continually kill the same Oni over and over to get a RNG drop from it.
Explore a new open world in Yooka-Laylee for the PlayStation 4. You play as Yooka and Laylee, who have five huge unique worlds to navigate, and you search for the Pagies, who unlock levels to help with the mission. Solve puzzles and challenges to defeat the evil Capital B in Yooka-Laylee.
Yooka-Laylee was successfully funded on Kickstarter and paraded as a spiritual successor to the Banjo Kazooies platformers, with Playtonic being founded by former Rare members. And that's exactly what we got. If you enjoyed the Banjo Kazooie games on the Nintendo 64, then you'll love this game, as it hits all of the right notes.
There are a number of worlds in the game, where your objective is to collect Pagies from a magical book. In addition to that, you have the minor collectibles called Quills. Each world is fairly huge to begin with, but with some Pagies, you can unlock an expansion to them that makes them even bigger. Quills are used to unlock new moves for the titular heroes, who are pretty much mirror images of the bear and bird combo of old. Overall, it's a great game that suffers from some of the most notorious culprits of the N64 era, like a semi-decent camera.
Dragon Quest VIII was one of the better RPGs on the Playstation 2 and now it has been made portable with it being on the 3DS. It has a great cast of characters, fantastic music and very nice gameplay that will last you plenty of hours. Of course, the 3DS version adds a bunch of new stuff, like a new sidequest that allows you to take pictures of whatever you want, two new playable characters, a new dungeon and even some quality of life changes, such as having a Quick Save function and alchemy recipes being instant. A truly great experience has been made better.
Battle dangerous monsters and interact with a variety of odd little characters in Dragon Quest Builders for the PlayStation 4. Use the materials you gather to create unique tools that let you rebuild the cities and towns of Alefgard, as well as weapons and resources. Create and explore new worlds in Dragon Quest Builders.
This game is both a combination of the RPG and Minecraft genres, with beautiful graphics and compelling gameplay. It is divided up into chapters, where you basically rebuild a town while helping out NPCs with various quests that will unlock new recipes to help you build things. It has the classic Dragon Quest music and is a heavy recommendation for any DQ fan.
Take grooming to the next level with this Panasonic nose, ear and hair trimmer. Its dual-edged stainless steel blades clip eyebrows and mustaches neatly, and it's completely immersible for use in the shower or at the sink. This portable Panasonic nose, ear and hair trimmer is battery-powered, so it's great for travel.
I've been looking for a trimmer for a good while and was browsing for a rather cheap one when I happened upon this one. For the price, this works pretty good and I would recommend it to others.
The Pangalactic Federation's mission is nearly complete — establishing peace and order throughout the galaxy. However, there is a hiccup in the plan, as the embers of conflict are starting to burn again on the planet of Faykreed. 6,000 light years from Earth, this system is the setting for the latest chapter in the ocean of stars. The epic, sci-fi role-playing saga of Star Ocean is back with a fifth exciting chapter. Set between the second and third games, Integrity and Faithlessness has you set course for a system 6,000 light years from Earth — the planet of Faykreed. While there has been peace in the galaxy for some time thanks to the Pangalactic Federation, the embers of conflict are beginning to burn once again on Faykreed. Enjoy a seamless gameplay experience by transitioning in and out of battles and dynamic cutscenes in real time, and become immersed in the story, exploration and combat that are blurred together for a cohesive and exhilarating adventure. String together powerful combos of close-up or ranged combat to trigger distance-based skills and take down enemies. Harness special attacks and incorporate them into combos for unbelievable damage. Switch between playable characters on the fly and make use of their moves for additional battle enjoyment. Are you ready for an all-new Star Ocean experience?
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is a Japanese RPG that may be missing a few features, but it is still a great game. The battle system is fantastic, where you control one character and have all others controlled by the AI through the use of Roles. The graphics are top-notch and while there are a few sour notes in terms of voice acting, the main cast is exceptionally well. It may not be a long game, especially when compared to Star Ocean: The Last Hope, but it still provides hours of entertainment, with the main story being a good 25-35 hours and there being a lot of sidequests and even some optional dungeons to uncover. One of the bigger annoyances is the camera, with it being a bit jittery and requiring the sensitivity to be turned down.
