I first started off my purchase with a Toshiba 5TB because it was on sale for a little cheaper than this one. But it kept going offline within the first day and completely crapped out within 48 hours of transferring backup files. I do not recommend that one, but I do recommend this one. It has been working for over a month now without a single problem. Works as expected and intended. Buy it!

Is this compatible with a Dell XPS 8700

I have a Dell XPS 8700 which I bought from Best Buy and I was wondering if this hard drive would work on my computer. I am looking to add more storage.

I am running Windows 7 Professional
Processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz
RAM is 8 GB
64-bit Operating System

Yes as long as there is additional SATA port on your motherboard, you will need a spare SATA cord as the product does not include one.
