Although this tripod is able to hold my 5D Mark III, I am not fully comfortable with this as a primary or even a secondary device for this camera. This is a great tripod for a smaller point and shoot or any one of my GoPro devices. Excellent maneuverability with smaller camera, just not for professional DSLRs.
