Take sharper photos when you travel with this versatile Prima Photo big tripod travel kit, which converts into a monopod when needed. This durable telescopic tripod holds CSC and DSLR cameras steady, even if they have large lenses, to provide sharp, clear images. This Prima Photo big tripod travel kit comes with its own bag and weighs only 3.64 pounds.

Tries to imitate the MeFoto, but falls short

When it comes to buying tripods, it never ceases to amaze me why people will put thousands of dollars worth of equipment on something that they skimp on, financially speaking. This tripod is a prime example of that. While not exactly cheap, it has similar features to the MeFoto line of tripods, which sell for about $50 more. Overall functionality is straightforward and intuitive, with a sturdy feel and build quality to it. Where it falls short, however, is, in my opinion, in the most important place - where the plate attaches. The included plate seems to be a standard Arca-Swiss plate, the most popular plate used in the world, but it's not quite there. As a professional photographer, I utilize arca-swiss plates on all of my cameras, which are mounted to an l-plate for a wider range of use. I found that my Arca-Swiss plates already on my camera bodies didn't quite match up with the mount on the tripod, and while it held it fairly securely, it was difficult to trust $6,000 worth of camera and glass above the tripod. Long story short, if you use the included plate, you'll have no issues, however if you use plates you already own for various other reasons, as most photographers do, there are better options out there, like the MeFoto line that seems to be very compatible with any Arca-Swiss plate I've ever owned.
