Easy intro to smart lighting

If you're looking for a super-easy path into smart lighting for your home, this kit is it: you get a Philips Hue Bridge (which can you can add additional lights to at any time), four dimmable soft white bulbs already paired to your bridge (no setup required!), and all the cables you need to hook it into power and your home network.
Sure, the really fun Hue features come when you add colored bulbs, but this kit is the practical introduction. Now you can easily add dimming where you can't (or don't want to) wire in a dimming switch, and you get the added bonus of controlling your lights with literally any of the major voice assistants or smart home hubs.
The only thing I don't completely love is the Hue bridge's bright blue status LEDs, but it's easy enough to tuck it away in a cabinet or point them toward the wall.

Sure, this is one of the buggiest Game Previews I've played, and the graphics aren't great by modern standards, and they're still nailing down how to translate a lot of the play mechanics and controls from the PC version... but it's also one of the most all-out fun multiplayer shooters I've played.
If you're looking for something different from the usual formula of PVP shooters, Battlegrounds might be just what you're looking for.

Whether you're looking to ease yourself into the Philips Hue system or just wanting to dim a single lamp, the Hue wireless dimming kit is a great, affordable way to get there. As part of the kit, you get a 60W-equivalent Hue White LED bulb (I'd actually say 60W is conservative... it runs a little brighter), the dimming remote that allows you to turn the light on or off and dim it, and a wall plate that can be mounted via magnets, double-sided tape, or screws.
It works great, it's reliable, and the quality of light from the Hue White bulb is fantastic.
There are only two minor knocks I have about the product: First, the shade of white Philips has chosen for the remote and wall plate don't match standard US switches or receptacles. If you mount it by an existing white switch, it looks out of place. Second, the face of the remote doesn't have any tactile indicator of which way is which. I put the remote on my night stand every night, and without actually picking it up, you can't tell which end is off/dimmer and which end is on/brighter.

Will this work in ceiling fan lights that are remote controlled?
Maybe. If your fan doesn't offer built-in dimming, then you can probably use Hue bulbs if the fan lights take a normal A19 bulb.
If your fan offers dimming of the lights, as many with a remote control do, these bulbs may not work. All smart bulbs need full line-voltage, and it's common for dimmers not to provide constant 120V even when on "full power."

Will I be able to connect this product with my Amazon Echo?
By itself, no; this is a standalone product unless you pair the bulb and remote to a Hue bridge. If you're adding this to your existing Hue system (or building a new Hue system), then yes, it works just like any other Hue bulb and is compatible with Amazon Echo.
