One of the Best Horror Anthologies

This series from George A. Romero started out as an extension of Creepshow, which is one of the greatest Anthology Movies of all time. I have really enjoyed pouring over each disc, encountering VERY few stinker episodes. One thing that really struck me as funny now is the fear around computers. As the series was made in the 80s, any time computers are brought up, it's hilariously outdated.

I was so thrilled when Disney announced a 3D release of this movie. They have been very unpredictable in their willingness to release 3D discs of films shown that was in the theater (even Frozen still only has a 2D release here, though there are region-free releases from other countries.)
I missed this in the theater, but I was blown away by it at home. The movie, in my opinion, is better than the original animated classic, and it stands as their best live-action adaptation so far. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

An M-rated Final Fantasy?!

This game is technically part of the same mythos as Final Fantasy XIII, but don't let that sway you if you did not like that series. Type-0 feels like more of a FF game than we have had in a very long time. Beware: this is a very enhanced port of a PSP game that was only released in Japan, so you won't be getting the cutting-edge graphics that Square-Enix is known for. However, the gameplay and price point more than make up for it.

Rewatching this series really brought me back to being a kid. I'm only 31, so obviously I always watched reruns on what used to be the SciFi Channel, but still... I have been slowly realizing that 60s TV was a bit of a golden age. This Lost in Space set is crammed with extras and fun doodads like robot blueprints and a script. It's a bit pricey, but I got it on cyber Monday for only $60. Highly recommended.

It seems that everyone knows that this system is great for people with 4K tvs, but are there any benefits for people with 1080p TVs? The answer is YES... mostly. It seems that games with Pro support are much cleaner on older Full HD screens. However, I bought this mainly to use with PlayStation VR, as I found the standard console to be a bit blurry. The Pro handles VR amazingly. It seems that every single VR game is rendered at a higher resolution and then downsampled to the headset, which makes for a SIGNIFICANTLY clearer image in comparison to the regular PS4. That alone makes it worthwhile to me. However, there is one caveat: if you are a 4K HDR user, the VR box cannot pass HDR through its HDMI port. This is a very frustrating design flaw, and I do not know if it can be fixed with a firmware update or not.

I bought this 2TB HDD for use in a PS4 Pro, and it works perfectly. It does need to be dismantled in order to use it that way, but it was a very easy process, and I was able to put the old HDD inside this case to make an external 1TB HDD. It works flawlessly.

Personally, the tv version of Carrie, presented here on disc 1, is my favorite version, except for its horrible ending and dated effects. Angela Bettis is fantastic, as is Emile De Raven.
Carrie 2 was also surprisingly fun to watch, although it's a sequel to the classic 70s De Palma movie, which is not included.
Both movies are far better than the most recent remake, which was a terrible disappointment.

Brilliant remake of the 1920s silent film. The movie is presented in both German and English, but it's not dubbed. The actors actually performed every scene both ways, so you're getting two completely different versions of the movie. I prefer watching the German, as the actors seem more comfortable speaking their native language. Klaus Kinsky will give you nightmares. His animalistic performance, especially in the final scenes, is just creepy.
Warning: this movie is very slow paced. It's not for watching with a group.
