I love this GPS. I bought it for the LMT but no where on the box does it indicate you must purchase a separate power cable that has the traffic capabilities. After a couple weeks of use i started getting a pop up message every now and then stating the traffic would not work until i connected the traffic receiver cable. This cable is about $70 and must be purchased from Garmin as i haven't seen it carried anywhere else. Had i known this on the front end i may have purchased a different model.

I can't get my Garmin to get past the black screen
You may need to plug it into your computer and do a software update. I had this problem with an older Garmin and that was tech supports solution and it worked.
