Cheap - Good second TV

Verified Purchase:Yes
We bought this TV because it was cheap and we just needed one for the bedroom. We did not need many HDMI ports, which is good because this TV only has two. Picture is good. Sound is just fair, as expected from this level of TV, but good enough for the bedroom
This is a good second TV. It would not be a good primary TV because of the lack of inputs.

Great but with limits.

The Harmony Home Control is great but with some odd limitations. Although it controls a number of devices some useful keys, such as the home control keys, are limited to only a handful of specific devices. For example I would have like to assign those keys to always control the lights in the room. However, although the hub can see and control the lights in the room, those keys can only be assigned to certain devices, such as a Lutron bridge, or NEST thermostat, as opposed to able to arbitrarily assigned them to some function of some device.

Can the remote connect via IR and WiFi simultaneously?

I have my components in a nearby closet, so would like the hub to control those devices via WiFi from the remote, but also control the tv via IR. Is that possible to do simultaneously?
It depends on your setup. The remotes that come with the hub only talk to the hub and do not send any IR signal themselves (although some can if so configured) and they talk to the hub wirelessly. Therefore you can put the hub anywhere within wireless range, or if using wifi (iPhone, android) to control the hub anywhere within wifi range, and the hub will control anything that IT can sen IR signals to. Since the hub can use two (or four with splitters) IR blasters and the hub has an IR blaster built in you can control IR devices in three (or 5) separate enclosed areas. Typically this is the main room, and the shelves inside a closed cabinet, but a closet and other areas would work.
