Griffin Dunne's Practical Magic gets a fine release on DVD from Warner Brothers. The disc offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are accessible in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a commentary track featuring the director, star Sandra Bullock, producer Denise Di Novi, and composer Alan Silvestri. A game and a healthy number of theatrical trailers round out this solid package.
