Using as an access point and its fantastic. It's pulling speeds of 356mbps on its 5ghz band and 99.2gbs on its 2.4 band range is great extends the network to a 35 yard radius past the house. Set up was flawless in AP mode unlike some units.

First off to any one getting this laptop memory make sure you need low voltage memory if not you can save a few bucks and get standard voltage. It works perfectly as it should be expected for PNY ram and has a life time warranty so you can't go wrong.

Perfect for gaming rig

Was doing a New all AMD build for a gaming PC for my office when I have down time,due to the mining craze this was a bad time for GPU purchase but buy had this great 580 at what is still a very reasonable price do picked it up took a bit long to get delivered so if you need it fast this might not be the card for you as took 9days to arrive with my 2day shipping. It preformed great has 3 display port outs 1 HDMI and a dvi out. It will run my 3 LG 29inch super wide displays and allows me to play dues ex man kind devided on its highest settings and do web browsing on one display and work related things on the other and not skip a beat and doing this at 60fps on the game. It's only draw back is its loud when the fans go on full tilt. I know this is a bit more because of my Thermal take Core P7 being an open sided display case but she runs louder then a evga 1060ti ssc that I had in there to set it until the 580 arrived but I will take it because of the power of the card as a trade off, just figured I would let anyone know though as to some the sound maybe more than wanted.

Is asus compatible with gateway (Fios) for wifi extender in home
Yes it is. If you have your network trucked into your home,office ect use it in AP mode to repeat running a cable network connection into it this will help you avoid bottlenecking its speeds from going to WiFi to WiFi just set its network names to your current networks on its respective bands and your good to go.
