There are differences of opinion on whether or not a high-end HDMI cable produces a noticeable image improvement. In my estimation the difference IS clearly visible. I was using a generic HDMI cable for my previous Blu-Ray player. Picture was OK, but not superior. When I connected the Monster ultimate cable the quality of the image was demonstrably better.
So, from my perspective, the question is not whether the image will improve, (it will) the decision is whether or not to spend the extra money for that improvement. For me it's a no brainer. Why spend thousands of dollars on a new UHD TV and compromise the picture quality with a $15 cable? It's worth the price... IMHO

cable for laptop to tv

is there a cable to plug my laptop to my tv, and can I use it to watch movies from it to my tv
Depending upon which laptop you own the answer should be yes, but without the make and model of the notebook it's not possible to make that determination. Most laptops have one of these: VGA output connector, HDMI output jack, or a Display Port output jack. Any of these can be used to show your notebook desktop on the TV. Just FYI - The VGA display connector only outputs the image on the screen, it will not output audio from the laptop. You'd need to connect a different cable from the audio output (headphone jack) on the notebook to the TV as well.

More HDMI components than HDMI inputs on TV

I have 3 components requiring HDMI inputs on my TV for best quality picture. However, my TV has only 2 inputs. Is there a splitter or an accessory that I can buy to help with this?
Yes, there are multiport HDMI adapters that will allow you to 'split' the signal. Word of warning though: Some are VERY expensive so be careful what you're looking at when choosing a adapter.

What cable do I Buy?

I have a HP ENVY laptop and want to hook it to my Sharp big screen. The connecting port's on the computer are smaller than a regular HDMI connector. Do I just need to buy a adapter for the computer end of it?
Yes there are many cable adapters for mini HDMI/Displayport connectors that will allow for connection to any TV
