As an adult, both my wife and I found this movie quite enjoyable to watch. The 3D effects are good (as they should be in an animated movie). The plot is cute and the acting has a good deal of humor associated with the journey. I recommend this to anyone.
I enjoyed this Final Destination and found the effects and 3D to be fairly intense (so much so, my wife had to quit watching during parts of the grandstand death scenes... The effect and 3D is startling)...
As with most of this series, the plot is predictable, yet still interesting. There are times when you think something will happen and it doesn't or is delayed, so keeps the intensity going.
If you are 3D fan, I would add this to your collection. If you are just a fan of the Final Destination series, then by the regular version.
What's great about it: Good Special Effects and 3D
What's not so great: Too much duplication in the backstory and plot
I purchased this mainly for the 3D effects and was not disappointed. From start to finish the special effects keeps your interest. The movie lacks in the plot however being predictable and unrealistic fight scenes (I know, it's a movie and should just take for the entertainment value). I also found it had too much of a "video game" feel to it (realizing it is based off a video game). Overall, if you are looking for some good 3D, you'll find it here...
I was disappointed with the 3D enhancement of Top Gun. To get a good 3D effect, you have to film in 3D... The movie is still good and enjoyed watching it again, it is not worth buying again for the 3D effects. Nothing comes at you, etc. The 3D adds some depth but that's about all. Much of the time you can view the movie without the 3D glasses.
What's great about it: Good 80's Movie
What's not so great: 3D ads a little depth but nothing special
