Police procedurals succeed when they combine interesting investigations, a compelling cast and great writing. Bones has it all and could easily run for another 5 years. Now, if only FOX wasn't so anti-consumer and actually put these discs out in Blu-ray, I could endorse them completely. It's 2016, 4K is in homes and we get 480p discs?! This is simply obnoxious.

I'm a sucker for gadgets. I especially love genuine contributions to convenience or product enhancements. With my laptop computer sitting at my side I now have a slim, light, fully featured keyboard that links to it without wires. We're big fans of Panasonic cordless phones in my home. This is my 3rd upgrade. Sold my previous set just so I could get only 1 new feature: 250 CALL BLOCK slots. And it's very easy to do . . . the Call Block button located bottom center of each handset. It's a wonderful feature that I can accomplish while the pest/scammer/robot is still blabbering away.
If this was all this phone had going for it I'd be sold. But there is so much more. Wife and I linked our two iPhones to this set using Blue-tooth. Any phone call now rings on every handset and can be answered from every handset. No need to carry your cell phone; leave it on its charger and answer one of the nearby handsets. We expanded the 5 handset kit up to 6, by purchasing an extra. We're now at the maximum. The entire package serves double-duty as an intercom . . . or baby monitor if you have one or more babies. Range is quite good.
Our phone books on each of our cells were easily sucked into the Panasonic . . . and listed under either a combined phonebook and/or a unique phonebook for each of us. Adding my list of blocked phone numbers could also be done manually. This is a COMPLETE phone package,
Voice quality is good. It's the reason for deducting 1 star, however. I thought the previous iteration of these phones was slightly better voiced through both the ear piece and speaker. We find ourselves increasing voice volume to maximum but often getting a slightly muffled result. Is this at our end or the caller's? Not sure. There is an earphone jack which might help those on the phone for extended periods.

I love when modestly priced TVs have sufficient credibility among professionals that I can find calibration and recommended picture settings online. Such is the case with this LG 55LF6100. Why is this important? Because, most TVs are not shipped with optimum home settings but are shipped with settings intended to make them stand out on the show-room floor. Seems dumb, but it's what manufacturers do. You can also do your own picture settings at home using calibration disks (Disney's WOW is easy to use), but the professional recommendations will get you closer, and help get your TV looking much closer to sets costing far more.
And this TV calibrates quite nicely. The picture is quite bright, with nice contrast and it looks very natural. At this price, being close to the center of the TV when viewing is best, because color accuracy drops off at farthest angles. For a TV in this price range, black levels are really black, not gray. This is great for Sci-FI and fantasy films with lots of shadows.
I use the cinema mode (or Expert Mode) and turn off almost every enhancement. None are helpful and most degrade the picture. Set Black Level to Low. Use a calibration disk or the Geek Squad to get the most out of the TV. Enjoy.

Fury achieves a classic war movie feel by staying on the battlefield, avoiding anything that doesn't move the action-filled plot forward. It's fierce and intense in a way reminiscent of "Saving Private Ryan", although far less emotionally involving because only two of the lead characters are fleshed out much.

I don't know how you improve on this phone form factor. Apple adds a bit of screen real-estate, deducts a bit of weight, and continues to improve the iOS. Are other manufacturers doing some things better? Probably. But when you add the entire package of music and photo handling, and the easiest, best supported ecosystem, and it's not hard to justify the higher price.

Why do you buy Broadway Musicals on DVD? I'd guess that you want to capture the memories of music and performance long after the theater visit (or in lieu of the theater experience). You've already concluded that the actual stage presentation is not as important for you, because this is a translation into a movie presentation, absent the stage.
So, is this successful? Many of the stage performers are present, so there is no lip-synching or odd Hollywood star substitutions. The music is all here. The story is fascinating. Eastwood's direction and the production are nicely accomplished if not bright and colorful. For those of us who lived the 50s-70s, this probably reflects our memories rather well. Music is recorded quite well and a quality home TV/theater system will sound up close and live. We liked the movie quite a bit and will reach for it again and again.

A great demo of 3D, subwoofers, and large screens

This isn't high art. If you're troubled by the thin plot, you must be new to Transformers movies. I am surprised that more effort isn't taken to make it more youngster friendly. Language is a bit rough even though it's a youth/toy oriented franchise.
That said, it's 160+ minutes of high intensity action with Mark Wahlberg taking the lead role. I love the way various film formats (IMAX full 1.85:1 and 2.35:1) were seamlessly blended for a great viewing experience. The colors are intense and the image detail is perfect with no phony edge enhancement. Nice 3D effects despite mostly bright scenes. If you've seen other 3D efforts, you know it's too often with dark scene after dark scene. This is a great demo of any high quality theater system. If you've got seat/motion shakers, they'll get a real work-out.

This washer requires that it be drained every so often? How often do you have to drain excess water and how much volume needs to be drained?
It sounds like you're having a problem. I don't drain . . . ever. In the past, with previous machines, drainage problems were a result of a blocked/kinked drainage hose. With one of those incidents, a hairpin was stuck in the drainage motor assembly. Recommendation: Call service.

Are people normal proportioned on the screen?
My son in law has a 60 inch flat screen HD LED and the people are all proportioned like dwarfs. Is that the case on this TV? I don't know how to ask this question any differently.

No insults intended in this response. It's not the TV. It's either the signal sent to the TV or the settings the end user is choosing. Or both.
This TV, like all modern HD LD sets, will have various ASPECT RATIO settings. Choosing the appropriate aspect ration will give normal sized/shaped images. Choosing the wrong aspect ratio will give oddly proportioned people. Most importantly, if you actually feed HD signals and not upscaled SD signals, this should all happen automatically. Sadly, cable providers make it too easy for customers to send the wrong type of signal to their TV. If you're paying for HD TV channels, you should be viewing the HD channels. Time to find a tech savvy neighbor to come over and help.

Is this TV wall mountable
I have a Sony 52" I am replacing. The brackets are universal (from what I am told) I would love to use my existing brackets and mount this TV to my wall. So, is it wall mountable and what are the measures of the holes so I can check my brackets. In store I can not see behind the TV well enough to measure the distances.
Definitely. In fact, I'm using pre-existing brackets I installed for the Toshiba TV I'm replacing. LG uses universal mounting holes. Actual hole locations are not relevant, because the bracket will have multiple holes which should align with the LG. The brackets used on the SONY will simply move over to this TV and you'll find the holes to be either in the same location or easily aligned. Bolt length might be different, so dig out the original accessory package.

How can I change the ringtone on the portable speaker when it is Bluetooth connected to my phone?
Ringtones are set by the phone, and the speaker will only pass through that tone. I'd be surprised if you could modify the speaker separately.
