Its another groover from TTB. The vocals are wonderful and the guitars crackle with energy. Musicianship is first rate on this CD. This is probably their best CD to date. They are the best couple in rock no roll.
I was anticipating a way better product. I guess it goes to show you that a band cant re-bottle the amazing sound they once had. Great attempt with most of the band back. Muscianship wise one would know they can all play, however song writing or selection was not there. Not as inspired as I would have hoped.
Another great lonesome sound mostly lead by Gary Louris. The songwriting is adventurous and inspiring. Quiet Corners is a great song with other on this disc as well. Peter Buck as usual does an excellent job producing. If you are a jayhawks fan this is a must have.
This CD reminds me of a throwback to the seventies. Its not really country and more of a rock album. The sounds on this disc is something that would have fit in to what music was 40 years ago. I think it is labeled country but it has alot of influences and is hard to categorize it. What ever you want to call it its different but oh so good. A must buy
This radio broadcast has very good sound quality. The performance is inspired. Dylans vocals are great and the song selection is excellent. This disc actually should be a Dylan disc. Only a few tunes with Petty solo vocals, however it seems the Heartbreakers are the backing band on all the selections.
No more folk for Lamontagne. This is a great collaboration with My Morning Jacket. This is a trippy psychedelic album that is really great. Ray keeps evolving and where he will end up no one knows. Get this one you wont be dissapointed.
Swedish doom metal band has discharged bassist and drummer and re upped with new members and they havent lost a beat. They have turned to blues rock with a touch of psychedelia and pop. This album is very accessible and is fantastic in multiple listens. Check it out and you will be happy you did.
