The description is incorrect. The case I received in my order contained a disc for each of the four films. What an unexpected bonus. These four films for only $10 was a steal already.

I ordered this (used) from BB.com. It came with no instructions, just the disc in a generic translucent case. The disc was a bit scratched, but there haven't been any problems playing it as of yet. I'm satisfied enough. Definitely not blown away by the quality control, though.

This thing is surprisingly heavy and feels quite sturdy. The sound—within the range it can produce (lacks lower bass frequencies, as would be expected, given its size)—is very good. Excellent clarity.
I returned this only because I bought two models of Bluetooth speaker and let my son choose one—he chose the Sony XB2 for the slightly better bass response.
This would be a great speaker for listening in the bath, amongst a small group at a campfire or picnic table, or on a desk. It isn't loud, but a quality option.
If you're budget conscious, I wouldn't buy it for more than $60. I've found it on sale as low as $45.
If you've seen the first 3 Mad Max films, you'll probably love this film. It takes Thunderdome and dumps gasoline and money all over it, but with the vision and control of the same director. It is somehow tasteful, even though every shot from every scene on its own may look like an affront to the word tasteful.
This is 95% chase-scene and definitely the craziest one I've ever scene. The movie is an exceptional example of how good special effects can be, especially when combining digital and practical so well that it is hard to tell them apart within the film.
And Tom Hardy does not let down the character of Max.
Rambo, Predator, Terminator, and Die Hard basically designed the formula for thousands of actions films, most of which only borrowed the most bombastic, violent, effects-driven elements and some clever taglines, making stale, one-dimensional shadows of those original four films. The bulk of the "action" films coming after (of course, there have been plenty of great "action" films since) did away more and more with subtlety, essential dialogue, and the struggles/vulnerabilities of the heroes.
Rambo has the missing stuff. It isn't perfect, but it isn't some silly, mindless murder-explosion-knife fight nonsense that it inspired in later films. There is a story here. And a pretty good one.
These are all classics. Doesn't matter which season you buy—if you like one episode, you'll probably like them all. If you've never experienced Tales from the Crypt, you should just for cultural reference! But if you love horror, pulp-style story-telling, or the 90s in general, buy any season of Tales from the Crypt.
This collection of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies includes Wes Craven's original entry in the series as well as A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare as well as a wealth of extra features.
I grew up on Freddy movies. I used to watch the 4th film (Dream Master) on BETA MAX over and over and over. Been waiting for the full set to be released on BluRay for a long time. Then I was just waiting for it to drop to the right price, which I found at Best Buy near Halloween 2016. It was $40-50 for a long time, but I was able to get it for $30. Already watched them all. Satisfied with the audio/visual, but this isn't exactly a Criterion release or anything. I'm satisfied, both in nostalgia and price.
Don't pay more than $35 for it—there are deals around.
I was blown away by this film. I love horror, but acknowledge that the genre tends to be infested by terrible movies. Even the best of them tend to do only a couple of things very well. Given that horror films get to play with all of our emotions, it always bothers me that the genre isn't filled with incredible films. There are some that transcend the genre and sit with the best of cinema—The Shining, The Exorcist, Poltergeist, The Thing, Alien—most only hold value as "horror films" rather than just as "films".
"The Witch" can be immediately added to that short list of incredible films to come out of the horror genre.
The quality of this film sits directly on the shoulders of a brand new director, Robert Eggars. His second film is set to be a remake of Nosferatu (a film I've dreamed of remaking myself!). I'm glad it is his capable hands, even if it means I'll never get to make my own version!
For some fun, look up the parody-trailer of The Witch if it were to have been made by Wes Anderson ("Royal Tenenbaums", "The Grand Budapest Hotel").
The Coen Brothers can't seem to make a bad movie. Sure, not every one will end up being a classic that cements itself into the history of cinema like "No Country for Old Men" or "The Big Lebowski", but every single one is of an extremely high level of quality, regardless of how you might feel about the story (my mom hates The Big Lebowski, but does not question the quality of filmmaking, for example).
"Hail, Caesar!" may not become a classic itself, but its satirical view of producing classic films in old Hollywood is sharp, hilarious, and as ridiculous as it should be. Art/costume/set direction all feels accurate enough not to distract, genuinely feeling like it was shot at the time period in which it takes place. Performances are untouchable.
If you love the Coen Bros, this has everything they've built their names on other than a hefty dose of noir characteristics (although that's in there a bit, too).
Enjoy all your favorite shows, movies and music on this Hisense 40-inch HDTV. HDMI, VGA and composite video inputs let you connect all your devices, and Hisense's AirBridge and HiMedia technologies let you broadcast your favorite streaming and USB media to the screen. This Hisense 40-inch TV has a 1080p screen for high clarity and detail.
This is almost as low as you can go with TV quality at this size, but that doesn't mean what it used to. The image on this TV is as good as just about any 1080p with a 60hz refresh rate. I'm a film nerd with multiple degrees in cinema (production and studies)—obviously, picture quality means a lot to me. But I am also fairly poor (as I said, I have two film degrees!). I was able to get this unit on sale for $150—an excellent deal. Although I wanted a similar Toshiba (better build quality), this one was 25% cheaper. Given that the picture is almost identical, I decided to use that 25% difference in price ($50) to buy a dozen (on sale) BluRays to watch on my new TV.
If you know how to properly calibrate the TVs visual attributes, the picture can rival a TV that costs twice as much. If you're looking for advanced features (120+ Hz processing, Smart capabilities, 4k resolution), this isn't your TV. If you're looking for something capable of producing a cinematic quality picture at 40" for a great price, this is a fine option.
