Fantastic retelling of a great historic event!

Great acting, great directing, gripping retelling of the most successful small boat rescue in Coast Guard history. Even though you know that going in, it's still incredibly suspenseful and tense. The special effects are fantastic too, and one really feels as though they're in the actual situations the characters are going through.

The ad copy on the box references "in the style of director Quentin Tarantino.", and it's very misleading and doesn't come close to the impact of a QT movie. It's also in Norwegian with english sub-titles, which wasn't clearly indicated. Overall, the movie was predictable and boring. I'm going to make an effort to return it.

This stellar sequel is brilliant where most sequels fail miserably. Gene Hackman reprises his role as the edgy NY detective Popeye Doyle with some of the most incredible acting of his career. With out giving anything away, there are a set of scenes where his acting is so palpably realistic that you can literally feel the gut wrenching pain he's experiencing! It's a MUST SEE for Hackman and detective flick fans!

Great Opening Scene
