Pricey but a Great Product

I recently purchased a Best Buy Deal of the Day iPad air. I wanted a nice case or cover to protect my new investment. I immediately thought of LifeProof. I was able to get this case on clearance for about half price it normally goes for.
Case looks great. It feels great when held both when using it and when carrying it around. Can charge and use headphones with no problem. Power, volume, home and silent buttons/switch all work normally.
I don't think I would have purchased this product at full price. Too expensive for my budget. Guess they are trying to get rid of the white/gray one as the black model was still full price.

Poor Design. Not What I Expected From LifeProof!

I was excited to get this LifeProof Fre cover for my iPad Air. The case (another product) works well and looks great. I wanted to use this product to cover the screen, put it to sleep by covering and waking it up when I opened the cover. I also wanted a stand like my Apple Smart cover for when it is not in the LifeProof case. IT DOES NOT DO ANY OF THESE THINGS! I was shocked, to say the least.
The cover goes on nicely after removing the hole cover on the case. That's about as far as the good things go. The magnet in the case will not keep it closed, nor does it put the iPad to sleep when covered, nor does it wake it up from sleep when removed from the screen. It also will not keep the iPad standing when used as a stand! The triangle it makes when folded back collapses as soon as the iPad's weight pushes on it. This is an iPad Air. Only weighing 1 pound (plus the weight of the LifeProof case). I'm guessing the magnet in this cover sin't strong enough as I can place my Apple Smart cover on it and it put's it to sleep and stays in place.
Very disappointed in this product. It fails in all attempts of being an iPad cover. It is going back to the store today.
