I purchased the 3d version of this film and it is awesome! I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to the X-men series, but that's no problem with this film. Great story (even if it's a little far-fetched), very imaginative and well directed. Watching the scene inside the kitchen in 3d is incredible! Definitely a must-have film.

Marvel continues to impress! I purchased the 3D version and the studio did an excellent job with it. I felt the original movies (C.A., Thor) were kind of cheaply done. I think the studio wanted to gauge the public's interest. The last Thor flick and this one are absolutely up to par. I also like the fact that you don't have to watch the 1st movie to follow the story. I highly recommend this version over the 2D one for anyone who appreciates action and acting in the same film.

Vin Diesel gives another standout performance as Riddick! Anyone who enjoyed the first 2 movies in this franchise will absolutely love this one. Vin brings his 'A' game, the special effects are spectacular, and the story is solid. I just wish we wouldn't have to wait so long between the Riddick movies!

I purchased the DVD when it came out several years ago and I loved it then. I was so excited to hear about the 3D version. James Cameron created an incredible documentary here that any Titanic buff, historian, or underwater lover will be thrilled. These scenes in 3D help the viewer realize the actual size of the ship and makes you feel like you are actually riding in the submersible. Bravo!

Good flick, but disappointing 2nd act

This is a great 3D/Blu-ray film. You'll want to have it if you have the 'Unexpected' 1st film. The sets were spectacular (although, again, not as good as the 1st film), all the actors are there doing what they do best, and Peter Jackson's direction and filming do not disappoint. However, I thought the overall film moved slowly. Many of the scenes were quite dark and the tone of it was much more somber than the 1st. I don't feel this film delivered the goods to stand on its own. Even so, I'm still looking forward to the finale coming to the theater in Dec. 2014.

Good movie, but stick with the Blu-Ray disc

As someone who enjoyed the Avengers-3D, I was pleased with the continuation of that story. The acting was pretty good and the sets were top-rate, but I don't think they originally filmed this in 3D (i.e., native 3D). I wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't in 3D. I've purchased several movies just because they are in 3D. Sometimes I'm happy (like Wrath of the Titans) and other times I'm not. I think this film falls somewhere in between.
