One of television's most popular police dramas, Hawaii Five-O, finally came to an end with its twelfth season, which ran from October 4, 1979 through April 5, 1980. By this point, ratings had started to fall; to buoy them, producers replaced several of the series mainstays with a new supporting cast including James Carew (William Smith), Truck Kealoha (Moe Keale) and Lori Wilson (Sharon Farrell) . Narratively, Season 12 is perhaps best-known as the one that brought about the final showdown between Detective Steve McGarrett and seemingly invincible Hawaiian mafia boss Wo Fat (Khigh Dhiegh). The 19 episodes in that season all appear in this set; they include such installments as Voice of Terror, Image of Fear and Sign of the Ram.

The eleventh season of CBS's police series Hawaii Five-O - its penultimate - originally aired from September 28, 1978 through April 5, 1979, and contained 21 episodes. This was the period that witnessed McGarrett's assistant, Detective Danny Williams (James MacArthur), leaving the program, soon to be replaced by three new members of the Five-O team (in Season Twelve); it contained such adventures as McGarrett overthrowing a Neo Nazi-planned assassination, the team taking on Kumu mob boss Tony Alika, and McGarrett investigating a doctor who may have illegally prescribed steroids to an athlete. All 21 original installments appear in this box set.

L. Frank Baum's enduring fantasy story gets a new and very funny spin in this made-for-TV comedy. Dorothy (Ashanti) is a young woman who works in a diner in Kansas owned by her Aunt Em (Queen Latifah) and dreams of one day making it big as a singer. When a tornado makes its way through the trailer park Dorothy and Em call home, the young woman is spirited off to a magical land known as Oz, where she accidentally kills the most wicked witch in the land. Dorothy, however, isn't so sure she wants to stay, and sets off to find a wizard who might be able to help her. As Dorothy searches for the wizard's castle, she makes some friends along the way -- a scarecrow (Kermit the Frog, voiced by Steve Whitmire), a cowardly lion (Fozzie Bear, voiced by Eric Jacobson), a combination robot and computer made of tin (The Great Gonzo, voiced by Dave Goelz) -- but she also has to fend off The Wicked Witch of the West (Miss Piggy, voiced by Eric Jacobson), whose sister fell victim to Dorothy upon her arrival in the strange new land. Featuring most of the best-known Muppet Show characters, The Muppets' Wizard of Oz also features guest appearances by Jeffrey Tambor, David Alan Grier, and Quentin Tarantino.
