It is extremely rare for sequels to receive high-favorable ratings from both critics and moviegoers. Star Trek has managed to do it with two follow ups to the reboot. Beyond is a highly action packed movie with clever dialogue and some funny one-liner moments. This new set of Trek films I think can be appreciated both by true Trekkies and new fans to the films. The action scenes are mind blowing as well. A very entertaining movie and one worth owning, even if you haven't seen it. All three from the reboot are worth watching over more then once. I highly recommend this movie to any one who's a fan of good Sci-Fi action flicks. You won't be disappointed.
I've been an A7X fan since the Nighmare album. Mostly because my favorite drummer from Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy, filled in for The Rev, who sadly passed away so young. "Creating God" and "Angels" are two highlights I'd pick out, however, the entire album is surprisingly good. I have to give credit that this band are really talented. If you're already an A7X fan, I doubt you'd be disappointed. New fans to their music? I think you're missing out by not owning any one of their albums. A very highly recommended purchase.
I'm a huge Robert Downey, Jr fan. I own both of his Sherlock Holmes movies on DVD. I love to watch them again on occasion. Great action and dialogue. Game of Shadows follows more or less the same formula that the original had. While I think the first one is still the better of the two, this one is still worth seeing, if you've seen the first. Highly recommended for Downey fans.
Sicario had me on the edge of my seat. This movie keeps you going from start to finish. Literally never a dull moment. When you think the storyline is going to slow down, something else happens. The ending, for me, was a jaw dropper. The film is also quite thought provoking. A highly recommended must see.
Alter Bridge never seem to disappoint with any new music they release. This being their 5th album, they just seem to pick up where they left off with Fortress. The music is heavy, lyrics are thought-invoking and well written. I love Myles Kennedy's voice. He's such a powerful rock vocalist in my opinion. Highly recommended for any rock music enthusiast!!
Well you kind of know what you're getting with Jason Aldean music and this album is no different. So far my favorite tracks are the single "Lights Come On" and the duet with Kelsea Ballerini "First Time Again". I'd recommend this album to any fan of country/rock music.
I love anything by Eminem. Plus I have enjoyed some of the songs released by artists under his record label. This package has all that and more. It contains one cd of greatest hits from the various artists that he has signed which are basically all the ones I love, (purple pills, in da club, lose yourself, etc.). Plus it contains a disc of new material which I also enjoy. No bad songs on this disc. If you're looking for a hits package without buying all the different album for just a couple of songs off each one, then I highly recommend buying this double cd set. Worth the money.
I have to admit that at first listen I was a little disappointed the latest Foo Fighters didn't mirror the music of Wasting Light. However, after giving it a chance I see the beauty in the music. Each song is inspired by the city that the group was recording in at the time. Because of that you get a very diverse set of songs from a very talented rock band. They take their craft serious to match the silly side of their individual personalities. This a great album if you go in with an open mind and do not compare to their previous albums.
I love horror movies. This movie does exactly what it's meant to do, scare the you-know-what out of you. Some may find the overall storyline somewhat "predictable" or whatever. But I've never been one to psychoanalyze anything. If the movie is entertaining then I love it. If it's not, then I don't see it again. Plain and simple. That said, this film is entertaining and frightening. Scary movie fans will love this. Period.
This release includes all 24 episodes of the brainy sitcom The Big Bang Theory, following the romantic and practical misadventures of two genius physicists, who are at the top of their fields in science, but at the bottom of the totem in playing the field. The two continually attempt to bring their social skills into par with their laboratory skills, and living across the hall from a charming blonde actress gives them plenty of motivation.
I'm a huge fan of Big Bang Theory. I own the first 7 seasons on DVD and have yet to be disappointed. The series has great acting, great writing, you name it. Not one bad episode in any of the seasons I've viewed thus far. If you love good clean comedy then I highly recommend owning this set. You won't be disappointed.
