Brand named batteries made for specific cameras are better than non-brand. They hold a charge a lot longer, therefore, you can take many more pictures , especially if you are out in the middle of nowhere.

Can beeping on answering machine be turned off and just have blinking light for messages?
The phone does not beep , only blinking light
