This appears to be the upgraded model from the 5205...now the 5500. After returning the 5205 due to buffering issues on streaming, I learned this 5500 has an upgraded processor that handles the display and SmartTV streaming separately, which definitely improved streaming.

Great TV brand and love Samsung, but this model (5205) was before the processor was upgraded to handle the TV vs the SmartTV processing, which seems to get bogged down with streaming Netflix causing buffering delays. I returned this and go the next year model (5500) of the same TV which has an upgraded processor that doesn't have the same buffering issues.

Immediately replace any rubber hoses in your house with stainless steel braided lines to minimize chance of your house flooding. We had that happen in a rental property due to aged rubber lines on the washer. Ever since, I'm fanatical about replacing all lines on toilets, washers, sinks, etc. Do yourself a huge favor and pony up the comparatively small amount of money for this piece of mind. Then still replace these every 10 years as they too have a limited lifespan.

This connector is great because it also has the excessive flow safety valve that will shut off in case of line rupture. We needed greater than 4 feet and while longer are not common, we finally realized we could simply connect two of these together with a nipple from Lowes which worked great.

First dryer installed worked for about 5 minutes then there were strong melting plastic smells and it completely stopped working...drum would not spin. Installers were still at the house. Best Buy exchanged for free and the second one seems to work great. Lots of nice features.

Working great as TimeMachine

Have had great reliability with WD externals in the past - no failed drives. Bought this as a TimeMachine backup for iMac. Hooked up to USB 2.0 port which will limit speed, but speed is not a concern for me with dedicated backup. Excellent price for capacity. I have a separate WD thunderbolt external drive for a referenced Aperture library that is 700 GB and growing - and that is lightening fast with no delay; as if on internal hard drive.

Yes it does. Total dimensions of the dryer are as specified, but the footprint is a couple inches smaller than the total depth. Keep in mind another 5-6 inches behind the dryer are required for the vent hose unless you reconfigure to vent from the side, which according to the manual is possible, but probably not easy.
