6 ohms impedance speakers w/ 8 ohms amp
I currently have a 10 yr. old amp (Pioneer VSX-D812) and looking at these Pioneer Floor Speakers, which are 6 ohm impedance. The manual notes w/ an 'Important' icon: "Use speakers with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms to 16 ohms". Is that a recommendation? Do you foresee any issues w/ this set-up?

Can you wire in another pair of speakers
Can you wire in another pair of speakers to these speajers? My TV only has the one audio output l/r but I want 4 speakers attached and wd also like to add a center speaker. I have them kook ed up that way right now, and they sound great but didn't want to blow them up.
No. If TV Output impedance sees less than four ohms, amp will short-out. it is not recommended.
