Amazing Value in a Gaming Laptop

For the money, this laptop is really tough to beat. You get high end specs at a very reasonable price. I won't go into too much detail regarding the specs as they can easily be found online, but just to highlight the careful consideration that Dell took to pick the correct specs for this laptop, I love how they decided to choose the 8th generation six core i7 8750H versus the 8th generation quad core i7 8550U CPU. Most "high end" or budget oriented "gaming" laptops in the market right now included the little brother of the 8750H which is the 8550U. Dell didn't comprise and is giving you one of the best mobile processors in the market. The rest of the specs, like the GTX 1060 with 6GBs of VRAM and speaks for itself. Couple that with a fast 256GB SSD, and you also have a laptop that boots into windows within a few seconds and also makes for some incredibly fast load times in gaming.
Ok, enough about the specs, what is the actual gaming and productivity experience like? Well, let's just say it was able to handle all the games I threw at it at moderate frame rates. Impressive for a laptop at this price point. I put the laptop through the ringer and ran CS:GO, League, Overwatch, Dark Souls, Witcher 3, Quake Champions, and Bioshock Infinite. It was able to run all games in medium to high settings with an average of about 45 to 60 fps (and in some cases higher than 60 fps). This is perfect considering the display is only 60hz so any more than 60fps and it's not yielding any benefits to you anyway (unless of course you're connecting an external monitor). Speaking of the display, I was very pleased that Dell included a beautiful Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS display. So glad that Dell gave us an IPS display and not TN. Being IPS, the colors look rich and vivid with deep blacks. It would have been nice to see a 120hz G-Sync panel but for the price I am willing to easily look past that. One thing I'd like to note is that during long gaming sessions or during graphically intense scenes, the fans can spin up pretty loud. However, this is expected from any gaming laptop due to the limited airflow. Dell did a good job though including performance grade fans with rear exhaust vents. This is the added bulk that you'll have to live with, but if you're a gamer, then you know that no gaming laptop is without compromise (with the exception of an ethernet port of course; I mean c'mon who wants to play an online twitch shooter over a Wi-Fi connection).
In terms of build quality and aesthetics, I think Dell did a great job keeping the design clean and going with a matte black. I love that the matte black finish doesn't attract any finger print smudges. The keyboard is a dream to type on. Dell did a FANTASTIC job on this keyboard. Each key is individually backlit with a blue LED. However, I would have LOVED for Dell to have made this RGB. If not RGB, I would have preferred a white LED backlit keyboard since it's more neutral, blends in with your current decor a lot better, looks cleaner and more professional, and in my opinion, is just much easier on the eyes. In any case, the blue LEDs still do a fine job of providing stylish illumination at night.
Some final features I'd like to touch on was the sound. The speakers actually surprised me a bit. They are probably some of the crispest and clearest sounding speakers I've heard on a laptop. They don't get very loud, but hit just the right volume for me. In terms of productivity, well, if the laptop can eat up any game I threw at it, you can rest assured that it will devour any heavy multi threaded applications you throw at it and is also a multi tasking beast. After all, the 8750H does have twelve threads!! The last thing I'd like to mention....THANK YOU DELL for including a 1Gb Ethernet port!!! It is a major gripe of mine when "gaming" laptops don't include an Ethernet port. A great example is the gaming laptop that one of Dell's competitors just released for fifteen hundred dollars. It appears to be a gorgeous laptop, but the only gaming you'll be doing on it is over a wireless connection. Can you imagine playing Overwatch, CS:GO, or League over a Wi-Fi connection?!?! I certainly can't. The first thing I actually look for when a vendor markets a "gaming" laptop is a dedicated ethernet port. If i see it, I know the type of thought process that went into it. And while yes, you could use a USB to LAN adapter, this setup would require incoming packets on the wire to be converted from copper (RJ-45) to the USB medium on the LAN adapter. While for most people the real world results are likely negligible, this is certainly not the case when playing fast twitch e-sport games like CS:GO. Don't get me wrong, aesthetics, thin profiles, etc. are great, but when it comes to gaming, performance always comes first.
Overall, I am very impressed with what Dell has to offer at this price point. I can take this laptop on weekend trips and fire up quick gaming session at hotels. I don't have to worry about my internet connection for competitive e-sport games like CS:GO since most hotels provide a wired LAN connection.I also know that whatever task I throw at this laptop, it will easily handle it and then some!

I have been using these headphones non-stop since I received them. I have been listening to music, watching videos, movies and most of all, gaming on them. Right off the bat, the absolute best feature of these headphones, and the reason they are now my daily driver, is because of how light and comfortable they are. I currently own at least 8 pairs of different headphones for different uses and these are by far, the most comfortable. To me comfort is almost everything. If headphones aren't comfortable, I'm not going to use them; it's that simple. I can wear these cans for hours without any fatigue and sometimes I forget they're even on. What makes them so comfortable is that they're made of a high quality plastic material. I'm glad Plantronics decided to omit the use of any metal or aluminum to keep these as light as possible because they knocked it out of the park!!! The design cues are aesthetically pleasing as well. You get some carbon fiber inserts on the outside of each ear cup with some gold trim and gold accents; classy.
Overall, the sound stage is pretty neutral. By no means are they bass heavy. It is balanced fairly well. Tight/crisp bass and good highs and mids. The virtual surround sound that is produced is spot on. I played a ton of CS:GO, Blacklight Retribution, PubG, Overwatch, and Quake Champions and these cans produce probably the most accurate virtual surround sound I've heard on any headphones. That said, listening to music was a bit lacking. By no means were they terrible, but it's pretty obvious that these are meant for gaming and movies.
In terms of accessories, the headset comes with a wireless receiver which makes it incredibly easy to pair with the headset. I love that plantronics decided to include a fiber optic input on the receiver instead of only giving us the option of USB. Good on ya Plantronics! Some say that they don't notice a difference between using USB and using fiber optic. If your soundcard has a fiber optic output, I would try both so you can decide what sounds better to you. I definitely noticed a difference. Particularly in terms of volume, fiber optic was the way to go.
Dolby Atmos was a bit of a mixed bag for me. A lot of us gaming "purists" are still rocking Windows 7 Ultimate. Unfortunately, Dolby Atmos is only available on Windows 10. Having several laptops running Windows 10, I gave it a spin. It's incredible. However, one must note that most people trying Dolby Atmos on these headphones are listening to the included demos when downloading the Dolby Atmos app in Windows 10. And while the demos do sound impressive, most games and movies do not yet support Dolby Atmos. So for right now, this is a bit of a marketing feature. But rest assured that if Dolby Atmos is widely adopted, you are in for a treat!!
Lastly, the battery is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! I cannot stress that enough. SInce I received the headphones I have only charged them once. This headset certainly has the longest lasting battery out of any wireless headphones I've used.
Overall, the unrivaled comfort, sound quality in games, and the ridiculously long battery life has made me switch from my three hundred dollar @stros to these!

One of the most fluid gaming experiences

This was not only my first 240Hz gaming panel, but also my first G-sync monitor.Let me tell you...the hype is real. I am coming from a 3440 x 1440p IPS 60Hz monitor and in terms of fluidity and smoothness, the Acer is a clear win. I play a lot of CS:GO so I was instantly hooked to this Acer monitor. It must be noted that this monitor is best suited for someone who is mainly looking for a top notch competitive display. Being a TN panel, this monitor wont give you the deepest blacks or the most accurate color reproduction, but it will give you the smoothest, unhindered, and snappiest playing experience. On my original monitor, I am used to tearing with V-Sync OFF since my 60Hz monitor is not fast enough to display more than 60 frames per second. Turning V-Sync ON fixes the tearing, but introduces input lag. With this Acer G-Sync monitor, there are no trade-offs or compromises. Leave V-Sync off and you're done. Enjoy the gaming experiencing the way it should have been enjoyed years ago without having to mess with V-SYNC.
In terms of of quality, the monitor is substantial. It has a very clean and sharp decor and construction quality is superb. Great stand and has very slim bezels. Putting it together is extremely easy and I didn't need to use any instructions. For someone looking for one of the best competitive gaming experiences, give this one a shot!

Overal good laptop but your mileage may vary...

On paper this laptop is a stud. And for the most part, it is. Let's see you get an i7 8550u (the more cost effective, and energy efficient for that matter, version of the 8750), a 2GB Geforce MX130 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256gb ssd. Yes, these specs are nearly top notch for a laptop. However, my experience upon first using this laptop was a mixed bag of sorts. Let me explain.
When I first started the using the laptop I was a bit confused. I was met with a lot of sluggishness. Apps would stall, freeze, and lock up. Whenever I would watch videos on youtube, the audio would sometimes become garbled if something was running in the background. Also, toggling back and forth from full screen mode in Youtube to windowed mode would cause a temporary delay which was pretty annoying. I knew that this SHOULD NOT be happening with a laptop with these specs. It made no sense. However, after I spent quite some time allowing Windows to perform all necessary updates, including driver updates, the laptop was hiccup free afterward!!!! If you are experiencing slow downs with this laptop straight out of the box, trust me when I tell you to spend some time allowing the laptop to perform all its updates. This will take about 1 to 2 hours because it has a ton of updates to install out of the box but certainly it's worth it to get the performance you paid for.
The build quality on this laptop is pretty good. However, the one thing I cannot stand is that the abyss black finish that Dell used on this laptop is a fingerprint magnet!!!! I have to constantly wipe it down. This is terrible considering this is a mobile product. Other than that it does feel of high quality. The keyboard and trackpad layout is simple. The keyboard is a joy to type on. The keys are also illuminated. I love that the laptop has three 3.0 USB ports unlike some others that only have 2. USB type C is also included as well as an SD card slot reader.
The display is where this laptop shines. This laptop houses a gorgeous 4k IPS display powered by a decent 2GB MX130. I wouldn't confidently game on this GPU but it will certainly devour any video based media you throw at it like youtube videos, netflix streaming, rendering, 2D based animation and games, etc. The display is simply gorgeous when playing youtube videos at 4K.
The laptop also comes with a stylus/pen which is pretty handy. Since this is a 2-in-1 the display folds back and can be used as a virtual clipboard of sorts. You can easily take notes with the stylus/pens or do some pretty cool artwork. If you're majoring in Art or are simply into art there are tons of software that utilizes the pen to create some pretty amazing digital artwork.
Overall, this is a good laptop and would be perfect for someone looking for something more than just a basic laptop to check emails and surf the internet. This laptop is perfect for someone looking to do some light gaming, is a heavy power user when it comes to media consumption, needs a snappy laptop to load applications as quick as possible, is looking for a beautiful 4k display with good color reproduction, and requires a laptop that will handle multi-tasking like a champ.

The Most Technologically Advanced Purifier/Fan!

Impressed. This sums up my feelings towards this air purifier/fan. Yes, you are getting your money's worth. This is clearly the biggest factor, and de-motivator for that matter, for people considering purchasing this product. This is the best fan/air purifier I've ever owned. Right off the bat it's an aesthetically pleasing marvel. It will look good in your house, regardless of it's surrounding decor. It's also built with nothing but quality components and materials.
In terms of performance, this thing delivers. This is the only fan that has truly done an outstanding job circulating the air in my room. It's unique designs allows for the best air projection i've seen yet in any fan.The engineering that went into this is bar none. What I absolutely love about this purifier/fan is that you don't even need to set it on a counter top or desk. Because of the fact that the fan tilts either downward or upward, you can literally have the fan on the floor and have it project upward or downward; no stand necessary!!!! The fan can also oscillate in a full 360 degree motion which is a feature I've only seen with Dyson. The unit also has a strict "purify" mode if you only want the unit to purify and not blow any cold air.
Setting up the fan with the Dyson Link app was INCREDIBLY easy. Unlike other vendor apps that I've used in the past for appliances, the app on my android device synced to the unit immediately after following the easy steps. Once the app is setup, the purifier/fan will take air quality readings of it's environment. The app will display the air quality outside (depending on the zip code you provide) as well as inside your home. It also records the air quality daily and tells you if the air quality is getting worse or better. You can also set an "auto" feature in which the purifier will "self-adjust" in it's operation mode depending if the air quality is getting worse or better. It also has a night mode which is really nice as it will turn itself off automatically depending on what you set it for. The unit can also be completely operated from the app.
The remote for this unit is great! It's simple, feels high quality, and it's also magnetized so you can quickly attach it to the top of the purifier/fan! If you're serious about your health and want the best air quality indoors to potentially improve issues with allergens, pollutants, dust, etc, then this is something you should definitely check out!

A Solid RGB MX Red Mechanical Keyboard

As someone who has used various key switches in a mechanical keyboard, I certainly know my preferences by now. If you are new to mechanical keyboards and don't quite know the differences between key switches, you can't go wrong with cherry MX Reds. You won't quite get the tactile feedback of the ever so popular Cherry MX blues, but you also don't get the downside of blues which is the very loud "clicky" sound. I won't go into detail regarding the different key types as it ultimately comes down to preference. What I will tell you about th keys on the K68 is that they are a pleasure to type on. They're not very loud and the key actuation feels great with very little travel distance! I used this keyboard to type a report and it was sooo smooth. I also used the keyboard during several gaming sessions of CS:GO and it performed flawlessly. The keys register very fast and I can't stress enough how convenient the dedicated media keys are in game.
Corsair basically took the original K68 and made it better. They made it RGB! However, this is the part where I had to dock one star. Every time I tried installing the Corsair iCue software I kept getting an "Initialization error: Cannot read package...." followed by the directory of the file. I re-downloaded the file multiple times and even tried executing it from different locations to no avail. I did a search online and found that other users have experienced the same issue. The temporary fix seems to be to connect the peripheral to another windows PC and install the software, then copy the file contents onto a usb drive and then transfer them back to the original PC that was receiving the error. I shouldn't have to go through this hassle though. A Corsair employee chimed in on the forums and tried to point the finger at this being an "OS" related error. However, If i have absolutely no other "OS related" issues installing files of the same file type on my PC, why is it that this error is strictly confined to this specific install file? Everything else I download installs perfectly fine on my OS. While it may be true that this error is "OS related", the point is that several users have experienced this error and if it is related to the OS then that means that the iCue software has some sort of compatibility issue with said OS. This is where I feel Corsair needs to address this as an "OS" related issue, or bug, that needs be address with their software. As a result, I wasnt able to use the software but I'm sure had I done the temp fix I could have gotten it to work. For the record, I am using Windows 7 (64 bit).
Aside from the iCue software issue, the keyboard overall is great! The keys are very legible, you get dedicated media keys, a good wrist rest (lately there have been much better wrist rests though with other competitors), and most importantly you get an IP rated dust and spill resistant mechanical keyboard! This is particularly useful if youre like me and eat your meals at or near your computer. However, I would have liked to see a USB passthrough on this keyboard but it's not a huge deal. Corsair has done it again. Another solid mechanical offering that is built like a tank to withstand heavy use.

Decent Cam

I have been testing the D-Link Cam for some time now and it's a decent little piece of tech. Setup is simple. You simply download the companion app and sync it. You now have remote visibility through the cams lens wherever you are. This is neat if you are in need of a baby surveillance monitor or you need a basic to cam to perform surveillance at a single point of your home. However, I found the quality of the live feed to exhibit a "fish bowl" characteristic. If you can get past that, the cam serves it's intended purpose. One really cool feature if the night vision. The cam automatically detects the light level in the room and will automatically switch to night vision in a dark area. It's actually pretty visible using night vision and this can certainly prove useful for outdoor areas. I do wish the power cord was a bit longer and that the cam was designed a bit smaller as it's rather large making the cam very conspicuous to anyone near it. This won't be a cam you can hide. Another thing is I wish the cam quality felt like 1080p but feels more like 720p. There is some stutter/lag from time to time but nothing too significant.

Great Audio Quality with Impeccable Design!

Right off the bat, I have to say that I'm very impressed by the stunning design and build quality of these headphones. The lines are sharp, sleek, and the headphones boast an all aluminum build with a sexy blend of metallic gunmetal gray. When I held these I knew I was holding a quality product.
The audio is incredibly balanced. I was pleasantly impressed! Tight & punchy bass that didn't overpower the mids or highs. The mids and high were crisp and clear. I would say that these headphones sound best when listening to EDM/Pop/hip hop genres. Rock sounded good, but dance music sounded incredible.
So why didn't I give these headphones 5 stars? In good faith, I have heard slightly better in this price range so I can't give these a perfect 5/5. This could be purely subjective as different people are going to have different tastes in audio/sound reproduction. Some people like more bass and some people may like minimal bass and a clearer distinction of mids & highs. If you prefer a more flat and balanced sound (as I do) than these could be a 5/5 for you.
One last note is that I would have preferred the headphone cups to be a bit larger. The earcups are rather small and don't completely seal your ear. I prefer earcups that seal your ear because, in my opinion at least, not only are they more comfortable but I prefer minimal sound leak. Again, that's just me and is purely a preference. In any case, if you're looking for some beautifully designed headphones which are sure to turn heads with some great sound quality check these out!

Rugged Bluetooth Speaker with Average Sound

I've been using this bluetooth speaker for some time now and overall I would say that I'm satisfied with the performance. Aside from the extremely rugged build quality and the fact that it's water and dust proof, the audio quality falls a bit short. At least by my standards.For the pricing segment that this product falls in, I expected to get some deeper bass and some crisper mids and highs.Volume wise, It does get pretty loud and it does have some decent bass, but I did notice some slight distortion at the loudest volume setting.
Now that we've gotten the negative out of the way, we can focus on what I did really like about this product. If you're a weekend warrior that is constantly outdoors, this is something you'll want to have on camping trips, lake trips, trips to the beach, etc. The build quality is exceptional. I feel like I can chuck this from a ten story building and it would be completely fine. As mentioned previously, this thing is waterproof and dustproof so you don't have to worry about it on your trips. Set it, play some music, and sit back and relax. The speaker also floats on water. I can see this being very handy on my many lake trips this summer! Overall, you may not be getting exceptional audio quality but what you are getting is exceptional build quality that will take a beating for years to come.

A LOT of Bang for your Buck

These cans are my new daily driver. Massive improvement over the original Krakens. First off, THANK YOU RAZER for subduing the loud and over the top neon green Razer logos that are typically found on older Razer products. It always made me feel like I had a product marketed for a 13 year old. I really like that Razer has taken more of a minimalist and clean look with their branding. On these new Krakens I love how "RAZER" is subtly and cleanly etched on the top of the matte black headband. The rest of the design and construction quality is simply superb. A matte black scheme with perfect symmetry. The construction is mixed material with plastic and aluminum. The inner headband insert is metal and so is some of the construction around the headphones. I personally prefer mixed materials. Not only does it keep the cost down, but it keeps the weight down. I have three hundred dollar gaming headphones that sound great but due to the amount of metal used, they are extremely heavy and cause fatigue. These Krakens are incredibly light!!! The plastic also feels premium.They kept it very simple, understated, and clean. I love it!!! The earpad cushionings are some of the most comfortable I've ever felt. They feel like extremely soft leather/pleather. These things were designed for long gaming sessions or for just wearing them for long periods. I absolutely love the unobtrusive clean design for the microphone. It sits retracted on the left earcup. You simply pull it out when you want to use it and push it back in when you're not. This is perfect for people like me who get annoyed by always having to have a mic sticking out. It also has a convenient mute button built right into the mic. Everything is so subtle on these headphones; LOVE IT!!!.
As far as the sound is concerned, I could not have asked for a better audio experience at this price point. Gaming in 7.1 sounded great and surprisingly, music sounded pretty good as well! (Music genre tested was Electronic Dance Music). I fired up several titles like DOOM, Overwatch, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 and I was extremely satisfied for the price point that these headphones are marketed at. The spatial audio recognition was dead accurate. I heard sounds coming from the direction they were intended to come from. There is a decent amount of bass but not enough to overpower the rest of the sound stage. Adding to this experience was the Razer Synapse app. It displays the applications in use and allows you to easily toggle between 7.1 and 2.0 audio. This was incredibly useful for me because I constantly switch back and forth between listening to music and gaming. Another neat feature is you're able to change the lighting scheme with the Razer Synapse app. You can change the color and effect such as static lighting, a breating effect, and color spectrum cycling.
Are there any cons? Of course there are. At this price point, you're not going to get everything. For me however, they are very minor. Personally, I would have liked to see a little more padding on the headband. The padding that is on the headband is sufficient but adding a bit more would have felt like clouds on my head! Also, it would have been nice to include an in-line control to change the volume on the fly. However, that also would have added more "drag weight" to the cord so I'm not really sure how I feel about that. Maybe that's why Razer decided to omit it to keep it as light as possible. Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with this product by Razer. They are giving the customer A LOT of bang for their buck. If your budget is around a hundred dollars, do yourself a favor and just get these.

Hi Karen, I have not experienced any steaming issues with this model. In fact, there isnt' much steam dispelled when the coffee is brewed. I was surprised since everybody was talking about how bad the previous model steamed when making coffee.

I have a 1400 sq ft home and an RV parked on the side. My current Router plus an add on won't do it for the RV. Will this cover the home and the RV?
I believe it could as I had no problem with coverage in an 1800 square foot home. However, it could also largely depend on how noisy the wireless spectrum in that area is.
