Great sound but huge flaw

I tried two different units and they both had the same problem: loud CDs distort horribly. I tried a few different recent releases that cause no issues on other players and they both resulted in bursts of digital distortion during loud parts but OK during quiet parts. I also tried a CD from the 80s, before music was mastered for maximum volume, and had no issues. Too bad, because otherwise it has a great set of features and terrific sound.

If I was using this as a regular TV for a small room, I think i would have given it 5 stars. However, I'm using it as a computer monitor and text is just a little soft. Not hard to read, but noticeable after using a 28" LCD monitor. Some reading I did suggests that at that size and the distance at which I am looking at it (sitting on a desk) that 1920x1080 just isn't high enough resolution. I will probably mount it on the wall behind my desk to get it another 8-12" away. Wish I could afford a 4K monitor!

I see it has a MHL Hdmi port. Will the Sharp remote operate the Roku Streaming Stick MHL version?

Does sleep Mode Work when Connected to a Computer?
I'm asking this question because some TVs will display a "No Connection" message when a computer goes into (from Power Management) standby or sleep mode. A regular computer monitor will turn off or sleep with the computer but most TV's, when used as a PC Monitor, will not do that. I was just wondering if this particular model will do that or not.
No, it doesn't immediately go into sleep mode like a monitor, but it will after 10-20 mins. (I haven't clocked it) turn itself off after the "no signal" message appears.
