Excellent Product - Wish it had a Product Guide

This Bluetooth speaker was surprising. I bought it due to the sale price, but wondered if I would keep it. It was so easy to use, and in my workout room, it was absolutely awesome! I can take it anywhere in the house and it sounds so good, so much better than from other small speakers. I only wish it included a product guide. I did not understand how long charging would take and what the blinking power light indicated. I had to call the company to get answers.

So Far, So Good

I highly suggest you purchase Geek Squad Protection for as long as possible with every Denon receiver. I have been through 2 AVR-X5200 units in the past and would have been out of luck without Geek Squad. I called Denon, and if I only had their warranty I would have had to either send them the bad units or drive them over to one of their service centers. Either way I would have been receiverless for an undetermined period of time. Geek Squad delivered new units and did the swap out immediately so that I was never without and they did all the set-up work. The AVR-X5200 was the "Big Dog" for Denon when I bought the first one. It had a problem with Bluetooth functionality so Geek Squad delivered a new 5200 which worked great for about 11 months, then it developed a catastrophic problem going into "Protection Mode". Thankfully I had Geek Squad behind me and they took care of things. I paid the difference to step up to the current "Big Dog" - this AVR-X7200. Geek Squad took the old unit, hooked this up and it is awesome - for now.
I can tell you that the 7200 runs much cooler than the 5200's. They must have done a much better job with the heat sinks. I now have less air space and the 7200 runs much cooler - probably 75% cooler!
The 7200 is amazingly strong and so clear that it is incredible. I really like this unit and have had no problems thus far.
The only issue I see is playing my iPod connected to the USB port with the Apple cord. When my iPod plays onscreen, the charge percentage constantly jumps around. 70%, 90%, 100% - constantly in motion and it does bug when I look at the screen. I do think this is an issue with the receiver as I never had this problem with previous Denon receivers. But it could be an iPod issue (doubtful). Anyway, we will see with time. If this is the only issue, I will live with it. If it develops a problem, I will be calling Geek Squad for another free replacement.

Too Complicated, not Enough Song Choices

This is not as easy as plugging in a machine, hooking up some good quality microphones and playing some good songs. I wish it was.
First off, this machine does not score your performance.
It is complicated.
Could not find popular songs, for example nothing decent from The Eagles. Could not play Hotel California if you wanted to, this should be basic and easy to find / buy.
Every song as to be "rented" - don't know if that means you are buying it or only renting for a limited time. Again, far too complicated. I returned the unit.

Hopefully Denon can do better

The first AVR-X5200 I bought had a problem with the Bluetooth function. Thankfully I had Geek Squad protection and they traded me for a new unit. The next AVR-X5200 lasted for almost a year, before having serious "Protection Mode" problems. Even playing the unit at 40% it would not go for longer than 25 minutes before going into protection mode. Then it would not stop going into protection mode. Soft resets took over 2 hours, I did several of these, still it would not play more than 25 minutes. Also, this unit ran very Hot, even with plenty of air space. The AVR-X5200 was a great unit while it lasted. Very strong, Super Clarity, but I expected more for this money - something that would last without problems. I now own an AVR-X7200 which is awesome and runs very cool. Only time will tell if this will last.
