I am a Hi-Techie who spent 2-3 hrs trying to get this to work with my Sony Smart TV and a Toshiba Laptop running Win10. It never worked. The TV HDMI Port showed this product working but the WiFi enabled Toshiba located just 6 ft away never saw it as a device to connect to.

Big Sony 4K 3D Smart TV

This TV is so massively huge that it took two strong ppl (my wife and me) to lift it onto a strong wall mount; very scary to do. Had to attach it to the house studs.
Overall the TV is like being in a movie theater. It is so big and so many excellent Smart TV features. I can watch Crackle movies, youtube movies, etc.
It comes with its own camera so that you can run Skype from the TV. Or if you are concerned about privacy, you can disconnect or aim the camera towards the ceiling.
I have also attached an HP Mini which then allows one to check your emails and run any PC based programs on the TV; surf the internet on your tv with a wireless Logic Tech keyboard and mouse.
Being a rebel, we have no cable tv but instead hooked this tv to one of those external HD antennae's where we get over 50 HD channels for free. The smart tv then goes onto the Internet and provides a tv guide for each of our 50 HD channels.
I can go on and on about this tv...

I asked you the same question yesterday about how to use this remote for the Sony Audio, and I got your answer. But the problem is that I followed the steps that you told me to do, but still it didn't work. So I don't how to make it work. Can you explain the steps more specific so that I can try again?
Just one thing to check before using the remote....... did you put the batteries into it?

Can this mount be used outside and with a 50 inch Visio?
Specs start at 51 inches. Does the inch matter?

To be absolutely sure, I would measure the wall mount bolt holes on the back of your tv and then compare those width measurements with the specs on the wall mount package. The package includes an assortment of bolts for the different sized bolt holes on the back of your tv.
As to installing outside, just make sure that it is free from the weather elements (rain) and that it is attached to real wood (no particle boards).
You will have to figure out things like birds, squirrels enjoying your wall mount....

Red light stays on
Upon setting everything up, the hard drive is supposed to have a solid blue light once ready per set up instructions. Mine still stays a solid red even after a long period of time. I'd have a defective drive right?
To verify if you NAS is defective, I would go online and find out what the steps are to reset your NAS; could be some steps like pushing on a button when power it up.
Then repeat the initial setup steps whilst keeping things (admin pwd, shares, backups, cloud sharing) really simple. Don't choose any of the kewl features. Then see after it reboots and perhaps has downloaded the latest updates, can you see it on your local network (LAN). Can you copy a basic text file to it. Then copy a bunch of files and see if you can see them from your other computers, tablets, etc. If this works, then turn on a few features and continue from there.
Then repeat the initial setup steps whilst keeping things (admin pwd, shares, backups, cloud sharing) really simple. Don't choose any of the kewl features. Can I backup my hard drive including programs on this drive and restore it.
I have an 8 year old HP computer with Windows 7 on it. Lately the computer is slowing down and I'm afraid if it totally dies. I have a lot of programs that I don't want to go through the hassle of re-installing on a new machine. Can I use this drive to backup and restore every thing on the new computer. Does the new computer have to have a windows 7 or can it be windows 10. I will appreciate your answers
Even though it is very time consuming, I normally prefer to reinstall upon a new hard drive or computer. I find, and many will agree, that I acquire too much junk on a computer which I have been using for 8 or so years due to installing and uninstalling so many apps. Trust me, it is like performing a Spring Cleaning when you do this; same sort of effect when you fully wash your car or get your teeth cleaned. It feels so rejuvenating.
Anyhow, yes there are various software packages which allow you to back up all of your old stuff onto this very fast 6T NAS. The key thing is that you are running on a 1G Ethernet network along with Cat6 cables to get the fastest throughput. There are some software packages which will take an image of your entire computer and then place it on that NAS.
The only problem with backups is when you try to put stuff from an old computer onto a new one, you usually run into driver incompatibilities because the new one has the latest and greatest hardware.
Over the years I just back up my "data" such as documents, pictures, movies, music onto a portable hard drive or this 6T NAS. Backing the operating system and then hoping to be able to put it onto a new Computer will never work very smoothly because of driver incompatibilities I mentioned.
