This laptop actually belongs to my wife. We were looking for a cheap laptop that could easily handle her school work and other tasks. This one came with a 6gb memory which is awesome for the price. Only thing it didnt have was the scrolling feature for the touchpad mouse which is easily fixed by purchassing a $14 wireless mouse.

When I lose power, is the switch-over to the UPS instantaneous? My power often flickers, i.e. goes out for less than a second, but this is sufficient to cause my router and cable TV box to reboot. Will the UPS prevent this?
The UPS will switch instantly between power-lose of power-power and anything plugged into it will not lose power. The only caveat to the items plugged in to the UPS exceed its power ratings.
