Highly anticipated and worth the wait. The soundtrack is a must have for anyone who loves the world of Twin Peaks. Note, this is the score disc. There is another release for the band's that played The Roadhouse on the show.
Look, the 4K remaster apparently looks gorgeous, but I returned my copy. The included blu-ray is a ten year old master and was not upgraded. It's surprising that Sony has upgraded the Blus of so many titles of that era (The Professional, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Crouching Tiger, Fifth Element) but left this one out to dry. This isn't futureproofing, Sony.
It's so silly, but I kind of love it. Picture quality is very solid for a film of it's era and Steve Martin always finds a way to make me laugh on the films he wrote.
This release from the popular British science-fiction series Doctor Who includes all episodes from the show's eighth season, following the titular, Eleventh Doctor (played by Peter Capaldi) as he and his companion use the infamous Tardis to travel through time and space, often stopping aliens, evil, and general chaos from destroying the Earth.
Before seeing this, I had no idea there was a professional women's league of baseball. The film holds up wonderfully and the cast is fantastic. This edition isn't too different from the previous blu-ray (one bonus feature and a digital copy are the only differences) but it's worth getting if you never got around to adding it to your collection.
It had been ages since I'd seen the film and the blu-ray did not disappoint. The picture was fantastic! I could have used more special features, but what was there was great.
This is well worth adding to your collection. So why don't I give it 5 stars? My only issue is the lack of special features. A title like Ghostbusters deserves more. A second disc would have been welcome and the older releases had features not on this disc.
It looks great and is loaded with special features. Certainly it won't be a demo disc for your home theater, but it has never looked better on home video. It's also got a wealth of additional features (some new to this edition) so it's a must own on blu-ray.
If you are on the fence about buying this, don't be. The new transfer is a huge upgrade from the original release. The bonus features are plentiful and the digibook itself is gorgeous. It's not my favorite Henson film or my favorite Bowie film but I am very glad that I picked it up. You should too.
