The standalone Oculus Go is a lot more convenient to use than the Gear VR, where you have to take your phone out of its case and clean the screen and insert it into the headset without getting fingerprints on it.
I can also comfortably use it while wearing my glasses, which was not possible with the GearVR, although since the GearVR had a focus adjustment, I was able to use it without glasses. I have to wear my glasses or contacts to use the Go - unless I decide to buy the optional custom prescription lenses for it.
It's nice that it doesn't shut down from overheating and it doesn't seem to crash often like the GearVR apps did last time I tried it.

The picture quality is slightly better than the GearVR, but I wouldn't say it's great. Small details and text are pretty fuzzy, and there definitely a visible "screen door effect".
The controller works pretty well, although the scrolling is a little touchy. It doesn't have the positional tracking like the full Oculus Rift controllers, but it seems to work well enough with just the rotational sensors.
As far as content goes, it's kind of fun to be able to watch Netflix on a huge virtual screen. I've found a few games that are ok. Viewing 360 photos and videos is pretty cool.
Overall, it's seems like a fun new toy now, but I don't know how much I'll be using it after the novelty has worn off.

It's working fine running my main Windows install. I've only had it a few weeks so I can't speak to long-term reliability. It's a laptop drive so it didn't come with a mounting bracket for using in my desktop PC but luckily I was replacing an old drive so I reused the old bracket.

Great basic UHD Blu-ray player

This was an impulse purchase in order to spend enough to get 2-year 0% financing on my Best Buy credit card, so didn't do any research beforehand. I was going to go with the Samsung player that has streaming apps, just because I liked the physical appearance more (the LG is just a black rectangular box) but all the Samsung boxes on the shelf were marked as previously sold and returned. That seemed like a bad sign, so I went with the LG.
There's not much to say about the LG. It just works. It plays the Ultra HD audio and video formats, including Atmos and HDR10. Blu-Ray and Ultra HD Blu-Ray Discs load very quickly- sometimes so quickly that I don't even see the disc's little loading progress bar animation. My ~5-year-old Panasonic blu-ray player sometimes took 15 seconds or more to load a disc. It pretty much just plays discs- it doesn't have any streaming apps, like Netflix. The more expensive model does, but literally every other device I have connected to my TV, and even the TV itself does, so I didn't need them.

The local dimming feature increases the contrast, but it I find it a little distracting when it suddenly changes brightness, especially when there are small bright areas on a dark background like a spaceship moving through space. This is my first TV with local dimming so I don't know how it compares to others, and it may just be me. I don't think my roommate even notices it.

Better sound than the Echo Dot (or louder, at least), but not sure it's $50-$100 better. It's also a lot larger and more conspicuous. The second generation looks like it's a little smaller. I wish I had known a new version was coming out soon when I bought mine. I'd definitely go with the second generation over this.
It can do some useful things like playing music and controlling Hue lights or a Harmony Hub to pause Netflix on your TV when you have to take a bathroom break, but mostly it seems more of a fun toy than something you need to have. It's very particular about the phrasing you use, especially for choosing different Hue lighting "Scenes", so until I memorized the exact wording to use, it was often easier to just use the Hue app on my phone. That's more a criticism of the Hue skill than the Echo hardware itself, but the Echo isn't really very useful without its skills.

They're pretty comfortable, same earbud design as other bose headphones, with the little wingtip that keeps them from falling out. When the cord comes out of the earbuds it's angled forward, so it feels a little awkward if you want to run it behind your neck, but it still works.
The sounds isn't that great for as much as these cost, but it's not terrible. It's about as good as the QC20's. I'm told it doesn't support the latest high-quality bluetooth audio, which might have helped.

Works well but loud

My only complaint is it's quite loud. My aquarium filter can pump 50 gallons per minute almost silently. Why does this thing have to be so loud? I would pay more for a higher-end one that's quieter, but this seems to be the only model, other than the battery powered ones

This is an awesome bluetooth headset. I tried many other headsets, and this is the only one I've found that my Mom can understand me over it.
I wasn't sure if it was worth the extra money over the Voyager Legend, but they have made a few improvements. They added a micro-USB charging port so you don't have to use the proprietary dongle. The menu system that talks to you has a different voice that I like better. The volume controls are moved to the top and they made them two separate buttons instead of an up and down slider. I'm much less likely to accidentally switch this one off by mistake when reaching for the volume control. Sound quality is good. I sometimes use it to listen to music or youtube videos when I'm without regular headphones. There's an option to have the mute button only beep instead of saying "Mute On" and "Mute Off". If it hears you try to talk when mute is on, it reminds you with a voice prompt.

Great protection, a bit large to carry in a pocket

I didn't care about the built-in battery to keep the headset charged when I bought this. I just wanted something to protect the headset from damage, I had to replace my Voyager Legend because it got cracks and stopped working well from being carried around in my pocket all the time. This case does protect the headset, and as a bonus, it keeps the headset fully charged when it's stored in the case. The only down side is the outside of the case has a rubberized coating, making it difficult to slide in and out of my pocket. It's also quite large. It feels like there's a bit of empty space internally; they surely could have made it smaller.

It is not clear if this device is compatible with a PC for Skype, Avaya or other VOIPs...and if so, do you need to purchase any additional accessory? Can anyone confirm?
I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. I've used it to make calls with Google Hangouts

I tried using Siri as I did with my Legend depressing the talk button but it doesn't work. Is there a different procedure?
I'm not sure if it works the same with iPhone, but on Android, you hold down the mute button to activate the phone's voice control

The earpiece sound quality is great and I love the features. However on better than 60% of my calls the recipient complains they can't hear me, or there is static or I fade in and out. I tried setting the it to HD voice with no luck.
I haven't noticed this on mine. It sounds like it might be defective, or maybe there's a problem with your phone's bluetooth

When you hook it up with a laptop, does it needs a bluetooth dongle?
Not if your laptop has Bluetooth built in, as most modern laptops do.
