I will start with saying I am biased when it comes to the Foo Fighters. They have been my favorite band for well over a decade now, and I pretty much am a fan of everything they do. This new album is no exception. I think what made this album even more unique was the accompanying HBO Series, "Sonic Highways". The band went to a different city for each song. They chose cities that were known for their music (Austin, LA, Chicago, Nashville, etc). They spent the entire show interviewing those that came up in that local music scene. Eventually, they would write lyrics based on those interviews, and incorporate them into the songs that ultimately were recorded in that city. They would even enlist the help of one of those locals, and have them play on the albums with them (Zac Brown in Nashville was notable). Another winner for Dave Grohl and the Foos. The first four songs are particularly strong. Give the album and the series a chance. If you're a fan of the Foo, you won't regret it.

Great Alternative to the iPAD

I have been an android/google guy for several years. I've owned (and still do) the Nexus 1 and Nexus 2. The thing I like about this tablet is the size, and the flexibility. The tablet is fast, and has a huge store to get free and paid apps. The sound is great. I've been watching Netflix every day, and I feel like I don't even need headphones. The sound from the tablet is in stereo, and is so full, headphones aren't necessary. If you're looking for a less expensive alternative to the iPAD, this is it!

Excellent Addition To My Surface Tablet

I researched the Surface tablet for about a week before I made my purchase. I was not aware that a default keyboard was not a part of the product out of the box. There are two types of keyboards available for this product, and the real-feel keyboard is by far the best. I tested both in store, and there really was no comparison. The difference in price is negligible, although I will admit I bought an open box item, so it was a little cheaper in that respect. It easily detaches if you're looking to use the Surface as a tablet, and easily reattaches if you need to do anything productive.

Excellent Replacement For My Laptop

I purchased this as a replacement for my laptop. Due to travel, I have a laptop for work, and my personal laptop. This was not always convenient having to haul around two PCs. The Surface is very useful for my needs, which are watching movies on Netflix, listening to music, and homework for school. It comes loaded with what is basically a full version of Microsoft Office, and it's not a trial version. The app store still has a long way to go, and the fact that you cannot install any software you already own is a little inconvenient. However, this product is still in it's infancy, and as I recall, iTunes didn't offer a lot of apps it's first go around. If you're looking for a gaming console, this isn't it. There are a few basic games available, and some decent apps. When it comes to playing games, I still use my Google Nexus tablet. All in all, I think this tablet is very useful and productive, as long as you're not expecting to have a gaming system at your fingertips. It's definitely meant more as a productivity tool, than an entertainment tool.
