How are they powered? Can you connect with another pair?

They are powered by your stereo receiver or the out put from a theater system or such. I found should not be hook in line with each other takes away from the sound.I also found an outside use volume control switch on the popular bidding site.

Can you use it with an aux cord?

These have the old style strip the wire back and push it in the connectors. There are adapters on the popular bidding site.
