Gauge
Does the gauge of a speaker cable make any difference? Is 16 ok or better than 18? Would a lower number make for better quality sound? My husband has asked this question and everyone seems to feel that the gauge makes no difference.
16g is larger than 18g. When it comes to gauges, the higher the number the smaller the size. I recently bought a spool online of Monster XP Speaker Cable - 14g (gauge) (SKU: 3183799) speak cable recently. I checked with one of the reps at my local Best Buy before I purchased and asked about recommendations.. He was very helpful... Hope this helps...
