The DVD release of Frederik Du Chau's Quest for Camelot contains a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are available in both of these languages as well. Unlike most discs of family oriented films, this disc's extra features concentrate on the process of filmmaking. Two different documentary featurettes examine the animation process and the vocal performances. Computer animation tests are included, as are early pencil sketches for one of the musical numbers. An isolated music and song score can be accessed. Music videos for Steve Perry's "I Stand Alone" and Leann Rimes' "Looking Through Your Eyes" are also available. A theatrical trailer rounds out this excellent package that will interest both children and animators.
