This movie was great. The story line, although not historically correct, was awesome. Some of the phrases that are said in this movie stand out so that everyone who has seen it can know exactly what movie you are talking about when you say them. This is definately a must-see in my book. Because of the nudity and the tremendous amount of bloodshed, I wouldn't let minors see it, because this movie will start a lot of questions!! lol
This cd gives you that early gangster type feeling. The cd is a great representation of an awesome movie. Anthony Hamilton's "Do You Feel Me" is my favorite. I recommend the soundtrack as well as the movie. I can't wait for the opportunity to comment on the movie when it comes to DVD!!!
What's great about it: Great music with great singers
I am not a big Eva Mendez fan so this is why I didn't really like this movie that much. If they had gotten a different female actor, I probably would have liked it. I loved Nicholas Cage though and felt that he did a great job. The fighting scenes were okay, however, I think he defeated the evil posse a little too easily. Do I sense a part 2? That would be great.
What's great about it: Comic book character movie
What's not so great: Not enough action...a little too sappy
This cd helps you worship in the spirit of the Lord when you are in your prayer closet. This is an anointed cd by an anointed singer. Throne Room is my favorite!!
The entire movie was great. It had you cheering on the vampires and also feeling sorry for the werewolves. The effects of the blending of the two is absolutely awesome!!! I can't wait for part 3 because I know she is pregnant and their child is going to be fierce!!!
What's great about it: LIKE THE PART 1...EVERYTHING
When you get this movie, go ahead and get part 2 also or you will be aching to see the conclusion (which by the way I don't think is the conclusion...lol). The fight scenes were great and the plot and actors were wonderful. I have seen this movie 3 times already and still love it like it was my first viewing. GO GET THIS MOVIE!!
Stephen Sommers' summer movie extravaganza Van Helsing comes to DVD in this widescreen edition thanks to Universal Studios (the lesser-recommended full-screen edition is also available). Packed to the gills with extras, this disc presents the film in an anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen picture with both 5.1 and 2.0 tracks for your home theater to sink its teeth into. The multitude of extras includes an interactive tour of Dracula's castle, where the viewer is given the option to listen to Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) ramble on about the different sections of his homely abode. Other features include a ten-minute "Bringing the Monsters to Life" making-of that introduces the audience to the master effects technicians who brought the film's many pixels to life, while "You Are in the Movie" presents a look behind the scenes by an unprecedented amount of hidden cameras on the set. A blooper reel has also been included, as has a ten-minute "Legend of Van Helsing" special that delves into the character's lore from books to the big screen. Two commentaries are available for your listening enjoyment -- the first with director Stephen Sommers and producer/editor Bob Ducsay, and the second featuring actors Richard Roxburgh, Shuler Hensley, and Will Kemp. Finally, a playable version of the Van Helsing game can be accessed through an Xbox game console that allows you to play through the first exciting level of the game. If you're a pushover for Sommers' brand of over-the-top adventure antics, then this disc is for you. This movie is also available in the three-disc Ultimate Collector's Edition featuring an additional feature-packed disc along with another DVD that includes Universal's original Dracula, Frankenstein, and Wolf Man movies, which inspired Van Helsing.

I have always loved movies that involved werewolves and vampires, so this movie was no exception. I think the plot was good but a little too much on the special effects. Some may argue that Frankenstein, in this movie, was smart which contradicts all past Frankenstein's, but even still this movie is enjoyable.
What's great about it: The vampires and werewolves were great
What's not so great: A little too much special effects
Let me say that Tyler Perry's, which I have attended, are wonderful, but his movies suck!!! The only one that could act was Gabrielle Union because she is a good actress. Everyone else, including the kids, were not good at all. I think he should focus on his plays because motion picture is not working for him. Plus, the one who makes his plays good is Mr. Brown who is not even in his movies.
This was a really good movie. I have never really been a Sandra Bullock fan, but this was a great movie. She really played the part well. For a minute, I really did believe she was losing it. The end, however, was too sad for me and I sort of wish it were different.
The comedians didn't gel well in this movie. The funny lines were sappy and the story line was weak. I can't really discuss the movie in its entirety due to the fact that I fell asleep before the movie ended. YAWN!!!
