So I have been waiting for this game since I saw the 1st trailer for it several months ago. I am a huge Rockstar fan and love all the games they put out. They have a hit with L.A. Noire. I am super impressed.
Now let me say right off the bat, if you are expecting an action packed, non-stop, thrillride, this is not the game for you. If you are just looking for GTA 5, this is not for you. If you are looking for a high quality crime drama, with incredible graphics, excellent gameplay, and huge map with many places to explore, get this game now.
I have not finished this game yet, but there are so many things to do. You don't have to do the main story line. You can go explore whenever and wherever you want. There are street crimes to solve, hidden classic vehicles to find, Landmarks to find, hidden movie reels, you can take anyone's vehicle you like, because afterall, you are a cop. So far every main crime I have solved has had a different story line. Yes, with every main crime you follow the same basic routine. You have to find clues, interview witnesses and suspects, and solve the crime. But Hello, you are a detective. That's what detective's do. People that don't like this game are probably expecting another GTA where you can just kill anyone you like. But with this game, you actually have to think a little. I love it. I was getting kind of bored with the GTA games anyways. Oh, and this might just be the best looking game I have ever seen or played.
What's great about it: Graphics, gameplay, storyline, huge map
What's not so great: The shooting of suspects is a little too easy sometimes
