it's too bad because i have all the other appleseed animated movies and they are all incredible works of art for both story and animation. this one, looks to be made a bit on the cheap. the animation is not as good as the others in the series and the story is not very well done. the acting with the animation is lacking. i really, wanted to like this, it's not that it's horrible, it's just far behind the others in the series. i hope they get back to their roots with the next one. the extras were ok, but, they could have been better.

i am a big fan of animation. DC has Marvel beat when it comes to animation. DC puts out great quality animation and it's of a serious mature nature too. this was an interesting team origin of sorts. everybody got their share of time, some more than others though. the animation and voice acting was really good too. i enjoyed the extras and i am proud to add this to my growing collection of DC animated movie features!

i went into this with high hopes, despite hearing some folks say they didn't like it. i took the chance, bought it and watched it. i really enjoyed it. there were a couple of plot twist that i didn't see coming. i really loved what they did with Mireille Eno's character. she had to step into a different acting skin and it showed range of her abilities. Arnold, was, Arnold and i like him that way too! the extras and behind the scenes were nice too. i will watch it again.

Great HDTV for my Graduate School Daughter!

i purchased this for my daughter as a gift for her last year of Graduate School so that she could have a tv in both the bedroom and the livingroom. i purchased the same brand just smaller for the one room last year and decided to get her a larger tv for the livingroom. we were very happy with the insignia brand thus far so we stuck with it. got it on a great sale and it's worked without issue just like the other one. it's an excellent tv with a good picture and it's great for 1080p blu-ray movies and gaming with ps3 & xbox 360. she has it connected to a 5.1 receiver so everything is connected to the receiver. it's also a very pretty looking tv for the body, thin bezel, plenty of connections and as a big plus, it offers a VGA input that accepts 1920 x 1080 input from a pc and that's really nice! she has 2 insignia tv's, her mom has 2 and i have 2 of them myself so, yes, we are very, very happy with the brand!

what kind of wall mounts go wirh this?
these speakers have cutouts on the back of them for wall mounting. it also comes with a template for marking walls to put the needed anchors onto the wall for mounting. you must supply your own anchors and screws for mounting. once done, the speakers will simply drop down onto the screws you have in the wall and hang onto them. hope this helps.

Looking to upgrade home theater surround sony 1 box. 15yr old system. Receiver died. Now have onkyo 757 receiver. Now too much power for speaker. Looking at polk owh for left,right. Will these be good. What about center channel.
yes, these would be perfect for front L & R it will also be perfect for the center. it's always best for fluid timbre matching to have 3 of the same speakers across the front wall. they are designed to be easily mounted on the wall or can sit on furniture. these speakers have I believe to be 11 different ways to mount them on walls or ceilings.
best of luck, I love them, I use them as Dolby ATMOS & DTS:X on ceiling speakers! I have no doubt they will work perfectly for your needs. you WILL need a sub to bring up the low end.

tv has picture in background but has lo of snow in forground
you should probably check your source. does this happen with different sources? does this happen on more than one input with those different sources. if it does and if the sources play ok on a different tv then you should return the tv. just be sure you have reliable sources your trying to watch on the tv to ensure which is the problem, the source or the tv.

Can you use an external sound bar with this TV
yes you can. if your soundbar has a digital inputs (both digital coax & optical to cover both) your in luck. also, if your soundbar has analog inputs your also in luck. you can even control the volume level on the soundbar with the tv remote. hope this helps.
