I bought this My Passport, I am running an old Laptop, Windows 98, which is for downloading only, music, movies, programs...I store the downloads onto my passports, so I can use it on any PC, or Laptop, but this passport will not connect, no idea why...?
I am not sure if your problem is with your OS (outdated or not) or if the WD will not support your OS. Try to format your drive or check it for errors. If after checking for errors (chkdsk) it doesnt work, then you must likely will not be able to use ith with Win98. Best of luck mate.
