Works, but need power adapter to use USB Ports

I like that it is adjustable, however to get the full use out it you need to buy a power adapter that I had to special order. The fans work just fine, but the USB ports are effectively useless without the power adapter. I could only plug one thing and get it to work until I had the adapter.
A separate problem is that about every other time it starts up the fans squeel. I have to mechanical agitate the stand several times to get them to stop. Sometimes rather forcefully.
Over all kind of expensive considering the cost of the additional power adapter.
