Great to use if you rent cars a lot

I bought a new Garmin with 7" screen and it barely fits in this holder. It is a solid heavier base so it will not slip when you make turns or take corners. It works with any car I rent, and I rent different cars weekly. Easy removal of your unit from this base with a push of a button, so it is out of view when your car is parked for business calls, or if you are shopping.

What's great about it: portable mount that works on my dash without falling over
What's not so great: if GPS is larger than 41/2" high, it will not work

No more - "recalculating" being said

Love this GPS. If I miss a turn, or turn the wrong way it no longer says recalculating, it just automatically recalculates so you still get to your destination without hearing that annoyance. It tells me what lane I should be in when approaching a ramp or turn. I no longer have to wait to get to the exit ramp to know which way to turn once I have exited.
