Benny at the height of his popularity
on June 21, 2008

Benny Hill was one of the greatest comedic minds of the 20th century. His popularity remains even 16 years after his untimely passing on Easter Week in 1992. Back in the mid 1970s, Benny was in the midst of his very successful 18 season run with Thames television. In this A & E produced DVD, we revisit Benny in 10 hilarious episodes from January 8, 1975 till March 23rd, 1977. Watch Benny give great impressions of musical stars of the era such, as Roy Orbison, Demis Roussos, Nana Mouskouri and others. Also catch some of his funny skits with his "stooges" Jackie Wright, Bob Todd and Henry Mcgee. Of note, is the work of the voluptous Diana Darvey and the esvelte Lee Gibson. Both combine talent with great looks. Hill also pokes fun as such hit shows like "Starsky and Hutch". All in all, a million laughs from one of the masters of humor. A must have for all Benny Hill lovers!!
