I have bought all brands of charging cords for my iPhone 6 Plus. This includes the Apple brands as well. Most of the other brands would not charge or the message of not compatible would show on the screen . The Insignia I bought works perfectly and it has a 10foot cable. Needed longer cord

I have tried to use the no brand name of longer cords but they never seem to work . I have bought the longer Apple cord before and it is great but mysterically has disappeared. I marked my last one to prove owernship and it has not walked away. Obviously others know it's a great cord but pricey. The longer cord is a must for me.
