The story had a strong emotional theme between Ip Man and his wife, and Mike Tyson did a great job as the villain. Lots of great martial arts, of course, but much better than your standard martial arts movie.
Being a fan of the books, I enjoyed this ending to the series very much. Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for bringing The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings to glorious life on the movie screen!!!
The animated series Batman: The Dark Knight Rises finds the Caped Crusader returning to the streets to take on villains to bring his own brand of justice to Gotham, in an adaptation of Frank Miller's 1986 DC Comics comic-book miniseries. Bruce Wayne (Peter Weller) returns to the streets as Batman is joined on his adventures by Carrie Kelley (Ariel Winter), who masquerades as Robin, and is aided in his efforts by Commissioner Gordon (David Selby) as he fights malicious foes who include the Joker (Michael Emerson) and Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (Wade Williams), and has a run-in with fellow hero Superman (Mark Valley). This collection also contains a host of special features, which include a documentary titled Her Name is Carrie...Her Name is Robin and five bonus DC Comics cartoons.
This animated feature pretty much follows the comic book series written by Frank Miller. If you like your stories dark and redemptive, then this is for you. A great film on an old Batman coming out of retirement and finding ways to reinvent himself as a justice seeker once again.
Young Bruce Wayne's introduction to the charcters who make up the underworld of Gotham City, and the efforts of two dedicated law enforcement officials to clean the city up, are the central storylines of this dark crime drama. All 22 episodes from the first season of Gotham is included in this collection, featuring heroes such as Detective Jim Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie), Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and the boy who would become Batman (David Mazouz). Bruce looks to learn the secrets behind his father's life, and eventual death, as Gordon and Bullock cross paths with the unhinged, malicious Oswald Cobblepot, now known as the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), and the enigmatic Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith).
I thought this series is fantastic in the way it displays the origin of many of the characters in the Batman universe. The atmosphere is what you expect of the Dark Knight's city: menacing, dark, brooding, and hope in the form of Jim Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne. The actors are great in their roles and I can't wait for Season 2 to come out in bluray!!!

This movie is based on a true story, and the real life interviews in the extra features make this more than just another war survivor movie as Louie's experiences are talked about in great detail.
A very clean movie, not much bloody violence, which is sometimes better than all the blood and guts you normally see in war films. There are a lot of accomplished actors and light comedy scenes in this movie which makes it fun to watch.
