I bought these headphones right before a series of flights and they've been life savers. On one recent last-minute trip I ended up seated directly next to the deafening engine. Put the 'phones and some music on ... no problem. On the flight back, I was ahead of to rows of noisy kids, and again: headphones on, could hardly hear a peep.
Things I'd change: rechargeable, rather than AAA batteries, and the on/off switch built in, because it's too easy to forget to turn off the manual switch.
This Sony BDPS5500 Blu-ray player's Wi-Fi lets you stream media. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.
I bought this Sony smart Blu-ray player to replace a Vizio model that had conked out. I talked with the sales guys at Best Buy and thought this would be, if anything, a step up. So wrong. Takes forever to load (several minutes to get the Wi-Fi internet apps launched), and times out during app operation. Forgets your user name and password between uses so you have to start over from scratch each time you power it on, and with no keyboard on the remote, entering your info over and over using only the arrows and on-screen keyboard is a real pain. (PS --this is NOT a problem with my internet/Wi-Fi speeds; 50Mbps over cable).
In the end, even though I wasn't happy that my old machine had died after just a couple years of use, I broke down and replaced this with another Vizio: ahhhh, so much better. Easier interface, immediate response time, alphanumeric remote, shortcut keys, no time outs, and resident user memory. No contest.
