Perfect replacement

When we had a power problem in our RV, the GE convection microwave burned out. This newer model has the same dimensions and fit into the RV using the same mounting bracket. No need for a learning curve it since it is very similar to the previous one, which we liked because of its multi-function feature. It's nicer than the one in our home. On sale and free shipping were great extra bonuses.

can this microwave be built into a cupboard?

If the space large enough it would work for the GE Profile Series 1.7 over-the-range Convection/Microwave. Just measure carefully. Ours is in an RV and the front is outside the cabinet by about an inch. It comes with the mounting bracket but needs extra support from an area above unit. Because it's vented through the front there's no need for external venting.
