This Vizio is a very good tv for the money. It does everything well as expected. the only thing that caused me not to give 5 stars is the picture itself. I have 2 Sony Bravias and the pictures are 1 star better. My Sonys are upstairs and the 2 Vizios are in the Rec rooms downstairs. I put the picture on Vivid and it is passable that way.

This digital TV antenna receives clear digital TV signals from up to 35 miles away. The table- or wall-mountable design allows for optimal placement.

I cut Directv and went to OTA TV. I live in a wooded area 19 miles away from the transmitters. First I tried the cheap RCA antenna for @ $16. It did work except for when it got the leastl breezy outside and the trees would move, then I got distortion. So then I bought the ClearStream Micron XG Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna. I like the stand it comes with. I had to tape the RCA to the window. The ClearStream I put on the TV stand facing in the direction of the transmitters. Finally I have good reception! Plus the HD is excellent on those channels that broadcast it. I receive 24 channels. I highly recommend this antenna. But, if it gets stormy it will distort occasionally, but so did Directv. Now, everybody's situation is different. But if you buy it at Best Buy you have 30 days to try it and can return it if it doesn't work for you.

This indoor TV antenna receives local HD and digital TV broadcasts and supports VHF and UHF frequencies. The flat design complements home theater systems.

I tried this OTA and I got 26 local channels. This allowed me to cancel my directv subscription. There is a little interference when it gets very windy outside, but other than that it is a perfect HD 1080p picture! Even better than the satellite picture. I live 18 miles from the TV transmitting tower and in a very hilly terrain.

I was a direct tv customer for about 8 years. Towards the end the only channels I was watching were the locals. I tried an OTA and it worked like a charm! I now just pay $15 a month for Tivo instead of over $70 to DTV. The Tivo Roamio is so much better than the Directv DVR.

If I have more than one Tivo, can they be connected?
The standard Tivo's have the capability to "talk" to one another, so what is recorded on one can be watched on the other. Are the OTA designed to do this?
I do this with a Tivo Roamio as the main unit and have a Tivo Mini in another location. Look at it this way, the Roamio is the master and the mini is the slave.

Can TiVo pickup TNT, TBS, AMC and TCM I can't find them listed anywhere?
No, not without a cable service. Only OTA channels.

This recorder is for you. It allows you to record any of your local tv channels. I think you can record up to 3 while watching one.
