the beginning is a bit long but when the action starts is non stop till the end. The intended camera shake gets old after about 5 minutes but I understand what they were trying to achieve. Lots of things are missing here... like an explanation of what the thing was and or at least someone trying to find out.... at the end it all boils down to a bunch of people who for no great reason other than rescue the one girl put themselves through death. I get it..... and I dont. but the movie price was right.

So, if you like realistic movies, this one is the one to have. If you like, lets beat the life out of everything.... this is not by a long shot. I boils down to your expectation. This war movie is devoted of action. the random sniper shot here and there does not amount to serious blood spillage, but if you really want an idea of what it was like. this is it. if you are looking for non stop action...bring a blanket and a good pillow cause you will fall asleep.

I kind of expected to have Alien and Predator go Mano a Mano. The BluRay version brings better sound and video. good entertainment for those who love science fiction. I am not sure if this movie comes out in 4k but since its so old I doubt it would be any better than bluray.

What a Center Speaker should sound like

I will call this speaker, well behaved. Male voices sound like male voices, female voices sound like female voices... Nothing gets added and nothing I can perceive gets taken away. I play it low and sounds great, then I play it loud and it remains consistently great. I have not hit the Xmax of the drivers yet but I don't have to because it gets loud enough for my livingroom and I love it. I expected the metallic tweeter to sound a bit bright it has not at all. This center channel is so well behaved I just love it. The dynamics are medium. Not low and not high. to my taste are just right and since the sound its not adding any unwanted resonances it just seamlessly matched my other speakers that by the way are not B and W but have great sound and it truly upped the sound from a so called matching center channel that I grew tired of the male voice resonance and female voices nearly disappearing. This one brought perfect balance to the whole system. This is not a cheap speaker for me so it took me a long time to pull the trigger. I am so happy with the desigh, finishing and sound of this center channel. Final note. I am driving this speaker with a high amperage capable amplifier. I have noticed the new receivers from just about everywhere are way over inflating their power ratings and some will not be able to feed this speaker properly. My point is, if you amp has no juice this speaker will not sound as good as it should be.
