the samsung smart tvs will only recognize the samsung skype cam made specifically for their tvs. however, they do work well for skype and motion control if you purchase one.

What version of the TV do you sell? As I understand, there is a lottery with Samsung TV's regarding the panels. I would like to find a TH01 version...everything else is supposed to be inferior as the panel is made by a different supplier.

The version on the label of the unit I purchased at Best Buy is HS01. I have had no issues with it at all. In my opinion the picture quality is superior than that of equivalent Sharp TV displayed next to it on the showroom.

For the UN40H6350AF you need to purchase a Samsung Skype Camera VGSTC4000ZA separately. When you plug it in to the appropriate USB port the TV will recognize the device and go to the setup menu automatically. You can then sign in to your Skype account (or create a new one) and are ready to go with a video call.
