Capture the scene with this Nikon COOLPIX camera. It has a 20.2-megapixel image sensor for high-definition pictures and video, and thanks to its 28x optical zoom and 56x Dynamic Fine Zoom, you can take clear photos from any distance. This Nikon COOLPIX camera has 16 scene modes that let you take great pictures in challenging light conditions.
I read reviews before purchasing this product and felt confident that it would be a good purchase for what I wanted. I am not a professional, or even aspiring amateur photographer; what I wanted was a point and shoot that would capture good pictures of my children. In that regard it perfectly fits the bill. Lets be honest, some movement by the fledgling of the species is not able to be adequately captured by an inexperienced photographer, but there is fairly decent video recording for that. I have also had luck with the rapid fire sports setting in the past for movement capture, just make sure you have great lighting or the fast shutter speeds will not capture enough light. Low light settings leave a lot to be desired unless you are capturing still life, but in any sort of decent lighting or with the flash, the capture is great. Very similar to a Nikon Coolpix older model that I previously owned. As far as I can tell, no upgrades from the previous model, just different control panel and buttons. On my older model I was able to mess with the settings enough to get really clear, crisp pictures and usually to focus where I wanted it to, even though its a automatic focus camera. Hopefully I will be able to do the same with this one, but haven't used it enough to be able to tell yet. Overall, good value for price, good capture for anyone who doesn't want to do their own focusing, and good pixel settings for a digital camera.
